Helen McLaren and Craig Cairns are the graphic designers behind Erupt Prints and Erupt Design, located in Auckland, New Zealand. Established in 2009 following the birth of our daughter in the previous year. We wanted artwork that was vibrant and fresh yet affordable for her nursery but couldn't find anything that met our criteria so we decided to create our own!

🏖️ From the north of Chiang Mai to the south of the beaches of Ao Nang and Phuket, Thailand you have been amazing!!! Loads more temples, cooking class, prepping and hanging with the ele’s, and more markets! Down in the south in Krabi and Phuket our favs were the island hop boat tour with phi phi and Maya Beach our highlights. Officially best day ever!! Loads more beaches and would def recommend Kata! Singapore here we come! Will enjoy the next few days before real life/work starts back again 😊

NZDAA — The New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association

I was tasked with designing these three comprehensive Best Practice Guidelines for NZDAA. Setting the standards in Demolition and Asbestos practice in NZ, these guides cover best practice, health & safety requirements and education across the three areas of demolition - Restricted, Unrestricted and High Reach.

I’m really happy with how they’ve turned out - engaging, clear and easy to follow and find specific content, recommendations and info to effectively manage the complexities of demolition - all paramount to the professionals who will use them.

👋 A little bit about me…

I thought I’d reintroduce myself (as I probably never did it in the first place) and share the face hidden behind all the work posts!

I live in St Heliers, a little eastern bays treasure in Tāmaki Makaurau! I work as a senior designer from my home office here, and after working for ad agencies for many years, I started my own business 17 years ago after my first daughter was born.

I just love my mahi. Working predominantly with purpose-led clients to create meaningful work to make a difference in their brands and businesses.

Today’s a big day!

The King’s Trust Aotearoa New Zealand, supported by The Ministry of Youth Development, are launching their Impact Report. Celebrating and recognising the 126 young entrepreneurs they have invested in. Both with monetary support and often more crucial, with mentoring and guidance.

Within the pages of this huge book, lies the stories of these inspiring young people — their journeys, their businesses, their achievements and their success.

I’m constantly inspired by both the Trust, and the young people they work with, and I am beyond proud to support The King’s Trust with all their design needs. Especially for the opportunity to design this incredibly special and important document.
