Dear Customers,

This is to advise all our wireless based customers that due to the severe weather impact, we are currently facing outages across multiple sites (mainly North of Auckland). While some of the sites have switched back to battery backup, in case of power outages, some sites have not due to equipment failure while a few are facing other equipment related issues.

We would like to assure you that our crew is working hard to rectify these outages as swiftly as they can. At this stage, we don't have a fixed ETA due to the severe conditions, but we will keep you updated as soon as we have one.

We appreciate your patience.

Regards,

StrataNet Team

Cyclone Gabrielle - update 18/02/2023
Things are starting to settle now and we have updates for a couple of sites since our last post.

- Puhoi - all sites online, J Tollhof on generator
- Kaipara Hills - regained access to keep generator fuled
- Mt Auckland - we were able to visit to review the damage, full rebuild required and a review of location due to compromised land. Access via SH16 was being worked on
- Pollok - after replacing the dish the site didn’t come back online, working on this fault to get the site online asap
- Dairy Flat area - occasional brownouts but batteries charged again and keeping things online
- Tahekeroa - Connecta towers online again with power however power to the area is at severe risk as it sits in a slip. If we get any more rain this could drop power
- Kawau island - still no power, to review of potential damage

Cyclone Gabrielle - 16/02/2023 update
What a week, it’s been a 24/7 operation here to keep sites online and all staff have been on the road constantly so we apologise for not being able to answer calls or provide more frequent updates. We are continuing to run fuel to generators deployed to sites that still have no power and continue to have a handful of sites that we cannot access yet due to slips and road closures. We have managed through the week to bring most of the network back online but still have a few issues we are sorting through. Here is what we know at this point in time:

- Bethell’s Beach - no power site offline
- Kawau Island - no power currently no ability to run a generator (if you can help please reach out)
- Tahekeroa - Stratanet tower online, Connecta - power issue and access via road TBD, multiple challenges to solve
- Moir Hill - generator issues solved and site online on generator
- Kaipara Hills - online using generator, access road blocked - customer kindly keeping the generator running while we determine accessibility
- Mt Auckland - tower destroyed and will have to be rebuilt - organising materials so we can do this as soon as access is available - this is affecting some Kaipara customers and others in South Head
- South Head - online
- Riverhead - power issues are causing the site to come up and down - Vector hopes to have this resolved today
- Helensville - all towers online
- Wainui - all towers online
- Silverdale - online
- Dairy Flat - all towers online one on generator
- Te Arai - power came back as I wrote this - investigating status
- Northland - all towers back online
- Matakana - all towers online
- Swanson/Taupaki - all towers online
- Waitarua - online running on a generator with reduced battery capacity, risk batteries run flat before we get fuel to site when the generator stops
- Tawhranui - online
- Warkworth - online
- Okura - all towers online
- Pollok - power back yesterday but the site didn't come online, investigation today shows radios and dishes missing, new radios being configured and rigged 17th Feb - expect back online midday 17th
- All Connecta sites - other than what is mentioned above these sites are all online either via generator or back on mains.

If you know of any more information that can help or are able to help with any of the above please reach out. We apologise to the customers affected by the Mt Auckland tower loss as this will take the longest time to restore, we are aiming for late next week.

If you have access to email this is the best contact method at this point as we can reply/reach out between jobs [email protected]

**update**
Te Arai - power is out again before the batteries could charge enough. No ETA on power restoration yet.

Cyclone Gabrielle - due to extensive damage to the electricity grid throughout Manukau/Auckland/Northland we are experiencing various outages. Our team has been working to keep as many sites on as possible however as batteries drain, we expect more disruptions to our network. Generators are being run where we can get access but at this time outages far exceed the number of generators we have or are able to obtain.

We apologise that at this time are unable to give an exact impact status or resolution timeframes as it is constantly changing and many sites are losing power minutes after the power companies get them back online.

Dear Customers,

Due to the recent bad weather, our Kawau Island tower has suffered a power outage since Friday (27th Jan). And unfortunately our battery backup has also gone down since yesterday taking the site offline. We have been continuously trying to log a fault with Vector regarding the outage, however, due to vector being inundated with huge amounts of calls, this has proven to be futile.

We endeavor to bring the site online as soon as possible. But the weather conditions are making it difficult. We apologize for this inconvenience and will update you with a course of action should the power is not resolved.

Regards,

StrataNet Team.

**update** We have managed to get an update from vector. They gave to replace a power pole. However due to access and logistics an estimated restoration time is tomorrow (31st Jan) afternoon. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you once again as soon as we have any more details.

Dear Customers,

We're currently facing an outage at our Clevedon tower. The cause is unknown at this stage. We'll be organizing a team soon to head out to the tower to fix. Appreciate your patience.

**update** we have been to site however due to holiday shutdown and access issues we cannot access the gear that requires repair. We are working on a solution but it will take longer and we don’t expect to have things back online until tomorrow morning.

**resolved** we managed to sort the access challenge this morning enabling us to resolve the problem with our fibre feed. The site is now back online.

Regards,
The StrataNet team

Dear Customers,

This is to inform our Puhoi (J Tolhopf Rd) based customers that we have resolved the issues affecting the Puhoi tower as of this afternoon. We apologize for the late response on this issue. In future, we will be putting redundant options on the tower to keep the tower online in case the primary fails (cause of the current issues) and standardizing the tower setup as to our current standards.

If you're still facing issues, please let us know as soon as possible.

Regards,
The StrataNet Team

** resolved **
Dear Customers,

This is to inform you that we are facing an unexpected outage at our Kaipara Road tower (formerly of Connecta). One of the sector antenna has failed which is affecting some of the customer base as of Friday afternoon. We apologize for this late notification since we have only been able to get an update as of this morning ourselves.

We have a team working on the issue as of this morning. The ETA for the fix is Tuesday (13/12) afternoon, unfortunately, as the team needs to organize a few third-party equipment before they can be on site to fix the antenna.

Once again apologies for this inconvenience. But we are working as quickly as we can to fix this issue.

Regards,

StrataNet.
