The staff here at Driftwood takes pride in providing delicious food, tea and coffee, presented with flair and focused on a healthy and modern spin on cafe classics. Although there are no cooking facilities at the cafe, we ensure everything served from the cabinet is super fresh – this is assisted by a philosophy of buying from local suppliers whenever possible. We have chosen the All Press brand b
ecause of its reputation for quality. However, we also know teas and has sourced special Tea Total blends to serve alongside the classics such as Earl Gray. Leaf tea with flavours such as Otago Summer Fruits and Ginger Lemon Kiss, served with a side of honey, gently infuse in glass teapots. Our day is begun with collecting bread from the Bread Basket bakery in Orewa, when it is still hot from the oven. After the bread arrives at the cafe, it is shortly after used to make a variety of beautiful sandwiches, fresh each day. Our early start means that you can stop in and grab a takeaway coffee from 7.00am. We have a variety of new menu items such as our own healthy and refreshing iced teas, sorbets and smoothies, however, still more to come, watch this space.
