RUN RUN is a Māori-owned, globally awarded, advertising and design agency based in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

RUN is a globally awarded advertising and design agency based in Aotearoa New Zealand. We partner with ambitious organisations to build brands, campaigns and creative platforms that drive real impact. From increasing consideration and engagement, to shifting behaviour and growing market share. Our work spans brand strategy, brand identity, campaigns, and design systems, delivered with the care and

clarity of a senior, hands-on team. We operate without the layers of a traditional agency, which means sharper thinking, faster turnaround and work that holds together from strategy through to execution. We’ve worked with organisations including Tourism New Zealand, Auckland Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, 2degrees and a range of Pacific tourism and government partners. What sets RUN apart is the depth of thinking, and real-world knowledge behind our work. As an indigenous Māori-owned agency, we bring a level of cultural intelligence that strengthens how ideas connect, whether that’s essential to the brief, or simply a way to make the work more relevant, distinctive and effective. We apply the right lens to every project, from pure commercial creative through to culturally grounded campaigns, always led by what will deliver the best outcome. If you’re looking for work that cuts through, connects authentically with audiences, and stands up commercially, let’s kōrero.

There’s been a big shift in the AI design landscape over the past few days.

Anyone can now turn a prompt into a quick landing page, pitch deck or one-pager. Fast, accessible, and 'good enough'.

But that speed is also creating a sea of sameness: generic outputs, cookie-cutter design and worse, AI slop.

Which makes one thing more important than ever: strong brand foundations.

Because the real advantage isn’t in the tools. It’s what you feed into them.

At RUN, we focus on building solid brand foundations:
• Brand Strategy
• Logo Design and Visual Identity
• Colour Palette
• Typography
• Brand Elements
• Icon and Illustration Styles
• Brand Guidelines
• Creative Advertising Platforms

All crafted to be unique, consistent, and built on authentic insights. Tailored specifically to you and your brand.

We use AI too, but as a tool to enhance thinking, not replace it.

The difference comes from human judgement, cultural understanding, real-world and lived experience, and original creative thinking, as well as kōrero with real people too.

We work with organisations big and small, across Aotearoa and globally.

Because in a world of endless content, the brands that cut through won’t be the fastest. They’ll be the most meaningful.

Keen to get your brand to stand out? Let’s kōrero.

And incase you’re wondering - yes we can also create Canva templates for you too - once we’ve created your solid brand foundations.

We see the people of the Pacific as our whanaunga, with the moana connecting us all.

So being part of mahi that helps protect it for future generations carries real meaning.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working alongside Pacific Tourism Organisation and Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) to create the ‘This for That’ campaign.

The campaign goal is to help phase out single-use plastics across the Pacific.

This is exactly the kind of work we believe in. Work that supports a more sustainable future for the Pacific and beyond.

We’re proud of the whole team involved for bringing this to life!

See below for pics from the launch in Fiji this week, including the Honourable Viliame Gavoka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation in Fiji, Miss Pacific Islands 2026, Ailava Samuels, and SPTO CEO Chris Cocker.

And, if you’re in the Pacific, or heading there anytime, help by choosing alternatives to single-use plastic whenever you can.

We're running our Te ao Māori for Marketers workshop this Thursday.

This is the only one currently planned for 2026, so if you're thinking about attending the time is now!

Te Ao Māori for Marketers
Connect with culture, not just audiences.

Doing great mahi in Aotearoa means understanding more than tactics. It means understanding context and culture.

This March 5, our Te Ao Māori for Marketers workshop, facilitated by Ariana Stone (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Te Wairoa), helps you build cultural confidence and clarity. You’ll gain practical tools to reflect te ao Māori in your marketing work, learn key tikanga and Te Tiriti principles, and understand how Māori language and thinking can shape better outcomes.

This workshop is for marketers, brand and comms professionals who want to move beyond good intentions and toward authentic, respectful engagement.

What makes a portfolio actually stand out?

“A standout portfolio isn’t just a gallery of finished work, it’s proof of how you think, solve problems, and respond to a brief."

Our co-founder, Laura Cibilich, shared a few thoughts with Creativepool on what agencies and employers are really looking for.

In the article she talks about balancing real world experience with self initiated work, showing your thinking through sketches, inspiration and process, and of course paying attention to detail.

If you’re building or refining your portfolio, you might find this helpful:

In today’s fast-scrolling job market, a creative digital portfolio must do more than simply show your best work. It has to explain that work, grab attention in seconds, and prove you can solve real problems. In practice, hiring managers want...

It's not every day we get to see our mahi in the hands of an Olympian!

We're proud to have designed the cover of the book Kiwis in Climate - Voices for Climate Solutions.

This book brings together bold and practical visions for Aotearoa to lead on climate solutions. Leading scientists, politicians, CEOs and citizens demonstrate what we are doing now – and what we must do – to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

In March 2026, Kiwis in Climate will be launching across Aotearoa to foster climate conversations in an important election year for New Zealand.
