Kiwis hate this cliche, but you can't fail if you don't quit. It really is that simple. (My training partner weighs 12kg and offers zero spotting support.) https://www.skdigital.co.nz

Hopeful thinking that I could get a full workout in with a little troublemaker around 🀣 Incident No. 2: the chalk. The chaos meter doesn't lie. Worth it every time though. https://www.skdigital.co.nz

Describe your job but make it sound illegal 🀣 Businesses hand me thousands of dollars and I give them something that doesn't physically exist. Then I charge them every month to keep it alive. (It's websites, I promise.) https://www.skdigital.co.nz

The business that shows its work online wins the work. Not always the best business - the one people can actually see.

Every job you finish is proof of what your business can do. And most of that proof disappears the day you pack up.

The fix is one small habit:

Take a photo of every finished job. Phone is fine.
Ask for a review while the customer is still stoked.
Put both on your website, your socials and your Google profile.

One job becomes proof in three places people check. Do that every job and in a year you've got a wall of proof.

Your work is already good. Make it visible.

If you've done years of good work and nobody can see it - that's the thing I fix. Have a chat with me.

Your website is your digital real estate: a salesperson that works 24/7, even while you're out on the tools. That new client notification hits different when you didn't have to chase it. https://www.skdigital.co.nz

When you pay the competition $5k to teach you everything they know about digital marketing 🀣 Honestly? Best money I've spent. Pay for speed, learn from people ahead of you, then run your own race. https://www.skdigital.co.nz

Six things your website needs in 2026. If it's missing any of them, it's probably costing you work.

1. Brand alignment - does it look like your business as it is today?
2. Site foundation - a page for every service you offer?
3. Content strategy - regularly adding your completed projects?
4. Social proof - Google reviews visible on the site?
5. Lead generation - is the site actually producing leads?
6. AI readiness - using AI tools to make managing it easier?

I read all 90+ of our Google reviews and counted the words that kept coming up.

'Easy' - 28 times.
'Speed' - 27 times.
'Understood my business' - 17 times.

My Olympic background? 3 times. Awkward. I thought that was my whole thing.

Listen to what your clients say about you - that's what they're actually buying. Turns out mine buy an easy, fast service from someone who gets their business. Not a gold medal.

So use their words on your website and in your marketing. Nobody writes about you better than a happy customer.

Read your own reviews this week. The answer's sitting right there.
