HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! šŸ¶ For those that donā€™t know me that well, these are my doggo fur babies.

Bae and Bella were my first dogs. This gorgeous brother + sister boxer duo made me fall in love with dogs (otherwise Iā€™d just be a childless cat lady!). They passed away far too young and I miss them so much. And yes thatā€™s why my post covid side hustle was šŸ¤

And of course Loki. My fur child now! (Alongside my beautiful BilliešŸˆ and before her my Marley šŸ•Šļø). This nuggety boof head Staffy lives up to his name as the God of Mischief, which also inspired my business name, Laufey Creative.

is the absolute best! Hannah has transformed my hair after hypothyroidism destroyed it, she ensures that my colour is low maintenance, and takes so much care in the products she uses. I also love when she experiments with my hair - from bobs to pink hair, I have never cried after leaving an appointment with her. Which Iā€™ve done with almost every other hairdresser Iā€™ve seen šŸ˜…

Today we recorded Part 2 of my chat with Zoey for her wonderful podcast . Part 1 was focused on my early life and career, with Part 2 focused on working in rugby and life after rugby. Itā€™s a raw chat with some topics I havenā€™t spoken widely about - except with my friends and whānau. Iā€™m quite nervous about this one but it felt good to share my experience with Zoey. Like most things, itā€™s not surprising Iā€™m not alone. It is bloody tough for women in the workplace and to be honest, I only scraped the surface today. There are still some things that wonā€™t be shared on a podcast. Maybe one day.
