Planned Outage P1: Broadband Services Core Network Christchurch 05/09/2024

Outage is planned between 11 pm on the 5th Sept - 6 am on the 6th Sept which could affect Riccarton Enable fibre customers for up to 30 minutes. This is to allow for ongoing infrastructure Improvements, one of our upstream providers will be replacing a network component at their Enable Riccarton Point of Presence.
Customers on Enable Services in Christchurch may experience up to a 30 min outage while this work is completed.
Affected customers may need restart their router to regain connectivity. Customers on Enable Services in Christchurch may experience upto a 30min outage while this work is completed.

Some of our customers are affected by this outage you may not be able to make or take calls.
We expect it to be resolved quickly as it affects hundreds of customers across the country.

Onsite Phone systems are so last year 😀

We have not installed a new physical phone system in soooooooo long and recently we have found the demand for our second hand product has declined - which is not a bad thing.

The other trend we are seeing is the shift from a phone on the desk to using Apps like Bria on a cellphone. We can do this without losing your central business needs all in a cloud based telephone system. The beauty of a mobile app is your staff do not need to carry around 2 phones, you can work from anywhere and reduce operational costs.

FIBRE OUTAGES SCHEDULED ON MARCH 14

ENABLE have advised that they will be conducting maintenance migrations to their fibre network that can affect consumers in the Christchurch area for up to 20 minutes any time from 11 am on the 14th March until 6 am on the 15th March.

In these times when almost everything we hold dear is connected to the internet, including the ability to relax and watch TV after a hard day, there is never a convenient time to be without service however maintenance is something that is absolutely essential. We appreciate your understanding and trust that with a heads up you will be able to plan that extended coffee break if you find yourself without a connection for a short time.
