Taking your own photos for Facebook or your website? You don't always need a $3,000 camera to get decent shots.

Here are 3 easy tweaks:
1) Wipe your lens: Sounds simple, but pocket lint and thumb fingerprints can ruin half the photos you see on Facebook!
2) Natural light is king: Move products near a window or step outside in the shade. Avoid harsh midday sun or overhead fluorescent shop lights.
3) Tap to focus & expose: Tap the screen where your subject is before snapping so it isn't blown out or blurry.

Getting feedback like this from a local business owner absolutely makes my week.

I recently launched the new site for Barber Climate & Electrical right here in Dannevirke. Dave just let me know they've had 4 new enquiries roll in through the site in the first two weeks alone.

As a small business owner myself, I know how important it is that your marketing actually pays off. It was awesome working with the BCAE crew on their photography, copywriting, and web design, and even better seeing it get results this fast.

Getting a new website sorted doesn't have to be a headache!

I recently worked with the team at , Climate and Electrical to get their brand-new website up and running.

I know a lot of local business owners put off getting a website because they dread having to write all the text or figure out what photos to use.

For this project, I actually handled the whole lot - I went out and took the professional photos of the team, wrote most of the copy for the website, and built the site from scratch.

It meant the Barber Climate and Electrical guys could just keep focusing on their electrical and solar work while I got their online presence looking sharp.
