TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WEBSITE PLATFORM IS RIGHT FOR YOUR BIZ?

👩💻 TECHNICAL ABILITY - do you want to DIY your website and be able to make quick edits yourself, or are you willing to pay for someone to do those updates for you. You may save money DIY'ing, but is that your super power? Could you be pulling in more money by doing what you're great at and leaving an expert to manage your online presence?

📈 FUTURE GROWTH - what's your strategic plan for the future? Do you envisage you'll want to add features to your website that need a specialised platform (i.e. courses, eCommerce). If you think you'll need some of these features sooner rather than later, spend the time prior to choosing a platform working out what you really want in a platform, so you're not spending time (and money) on something that won't last.

🆘 CUSTOMER SUPPORT - if you're not tech savvy, or even if you are, there will still be times you need to reach out to customer support if something doesn't go right. Make sure you check what support is provided as part of your plan.

🧩INTEGRATIONS - are you already using certain tools (i.e. , or ) and you need it to integrate with your website? This is especially important for eCommerce. You need to see which integrations will work with your platform.

💲COST - what's your budget? If you are just starting out and don't have much budget, then choosing a platform that you can manage easily yourself might be appropriate. If you have more budget available, then perhaps consider what bells & whistles you will need down the track to make sure you have a robust platform that will last the distance.

I had the pleasure of working with Greg & Jenna at Sacred Grounds, Taupo on their website for their Coffee Roasting company. I used to work with Greg many moons ago it seems now, when we were both up in Auckland so being able to connect again to bring his new site to live was really cool. This site was originally on a different platform, and it was re-built in .

If you are a coffee lover you definitely need to check out these guys. Their coffee is really beautiful and roasted locally in Taupo, New Zealand.

Do you have an eCommerce store, but you aren't getting the sales you'd hoped for? Here are some simple, yet effective automations you can set up to get more sales and raving fans:

👜 Remind customers who've abandoned their cart, without completing their purchase that they still have an order waiting.

📧 Thank you email to first time customers after they've made their first purchase. Perhaps offer a reward of free shipping or discount on their next order over a certain value.

✨ Welcome back past customers who haven’t purchased in a while. This type of email has been proven effective in helping businesses generate 3x the number of orders per customer than bulk emails alone.

😍 Check in with your customers with an email seeing how they've found the product, and if they have any feedback to leave a product review. Use this info to follow up again with some other products that may be of interest to them.

🎖️Show appreciation to your best and most loyal customers with pre-sale announcements or special discounts.

Do you need to record some of your processes for your business, but don't want to write it all out.

How about using Loom to record a video. Loom has a 5 minute recording limit for the free plan, but I get around this by using another free tool which is Windows Video Editor.
