Some great early morning views this week, can’t beat a cool still morning.

Accomplished this week.
A satellite dish replacement, PC replacement, and a Wifi re-jig at a Motel. Now has a star wifi setup compared to a series setup.

What’s the difference?
The Managers house, lakeside motels and Garden motels are all PTP fed from the Office, Star design, where Router is. Prior, feed went to Lakeside then garden and house, series design. This makes better use of bandwidth even though all links are gigabit. Also shifted the garden Wifi to give better coverage.

Great day to end the week. Hotel door phone and cabling replaced, wifi scope at motel done and a view for lunch.

Great autumn day in TeAnau. Started off cool while working on sat dishes. Ended up in the 20’s while in the roof scoping a data cable job
Heat/Moisture is bringing on the fungi.

Another busy day. Switch upgrade at holiday park. Now have 10G link back to router. Installed Cat6A link cable to cover all bases.

Repair 2 x 50 Pair cables under distinction TeAnau floor. (Old fashioed telephone cable for those not in the loop)

Call-out to Fiordland College for no phones. Router replacement, caused issue. Reprogram routing and all go.

Great views from the work site today. Internet/wifi connection, setup tv on satelite and Standard Netflix utube apps. Netflix no go on apps, not even available. After much googling and updates, found a random post saying change country to Aussie, amazingly all good.
House was on a rise 36 steps to get to lounge. Lost count how many trips I made. At least 10. Watch says 7000 steps 5.4km and 18 flights
Think I’ve deserved a Pizza tonight.

My view today. Wifi to a row of motel units. Stage 1 external LR AP installed. Client to test and see where the dead spots are.

A couple of Wifi jobs in TeAnau the last couple of days, tweaking the wifi and replacing some older PTP links and a new external AP to cover a dead spot.
Swapped out an old switch and replaced with new Grandstream with 10GB backhaul.

Quick trip to TeAnau, Holiday park called to say half of park had no Wifi.
After investigation found blown power injector, thought that was all, but also got the Master PTP AP as well. Quick replacement and all up and running again.
