To the people who arrive early, who quietly stay late, who notice what needs doing, the "yep I can help" people.
Thank you.

A lot of communities run on the kindness, energy, and consistency of it volunteers - often without enough recognition for just how much they carry.

This week's just for you. Tag a volunteer who deserves some appreciation.

Group chats are fantastic for; memes, cake photos, and "running 5 mintues late!"

They are less fantastic for; volunteer coordination, relationship tracking, important updates, or literally finding anything later!

If your organisation currently runs on "scroll up a bit more"... infooodle can probably help.

Every organisation has that one person who basically is the infrastructure.

Need a login? Ask them.
Need the SOP? Ask them.
Need to know what happened October 23rd 2017? Somehow... ask them.

Incredible people. Terrifying system design. infoodle keeps information visible and shared so your organisation doesn't accidentally rely on one human hard drive.

Volunteer rostering has two modes:
1. Weirdly quiet
2. Absolute scenes
There's no inbetween.

infoodle helps teams manage availability, schedules, and communications without relying on vague thumbs-up reactions, crossed fingers, or "I thought someone else replied?"

There are calmer ways to organise humans.

Nonprofit origin story: "I'll just help out for a bit."

Fast forward and suddenly you; run the volunteer roster, know everyone's availability, send all the reminders, and somehow became IT support too?? Classic accidental coordinator behaviour!

Infoodle helps take some of that chaos out of team and volunteer management - because "figuring it out as you go" eventually stops being charming.

Your volunteers deserve systems that support them properly.

We’re honoured to be part of the Xero App Store community - and now there’s a chance to nominate your favourite Xero-connected apps in the 2026 Xero People’s Choice Awards.

If infoodle has helped your organisation manage donations, reporting, contacts, events, or finance workflows alongside Xero, we’d genuinely appreciate your nomination.

Every nomination counts as a vote, and finalists are shortlisted based on the number of nominations received.

Voting is open until 10 July 2026: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBGTve7WPOjbEHqK1bWgEQNLchwYbozIw6tb_jpHGNd4Hocg/viewform

Thank you to all the charities, churches, nonprofits, and community organisations who continue to support us - we truly appreciate being part of the work you do.

We need to talk about notes.

“Had a good chat”
“Followed up”
“Seems interested”

Respectfully… these tell us absolutely nothing later

Good notes = useful future context.
Bad notes = confusing archaeology.

infoodle keeps notes attached, visible, and actually usable.

If your past notes feel like riddles… you’re not alone.

Australian charities and churches: donation processing rules are changing in 2026 - but there’s one really important distinction worth knowing.

The upcoming RBA surcharge changes are aimed at automatic card surcharges.

They don’t stop organisations from giving donors the option to voluntarily help cover processing costs - as long as it’s:
- transparent
- optional
- a genuine opt-in

There’s a big difference between:
“we added a fee automatically”
and
“would you like to help cover the processing cost?”

infoodle forms already support this through the Pay Processing Fee option, allowing donors to choose whether they’d like to contribute toward processing costs during their donation.

If your organisation relies on online giving, now’s probably a good time to review how your forms handle processing fees ahead of the October 2026 changes.

You know how Netflix gives you a “Previously on…” recap?

Imagine having that for every person in your organisation. Not just the last interaction - the whole story.

That’s what infoodle does. It connects the dots so you can actually understand what’s going on over time.

If you’re only seeing snapshots instead of the full picture… you’re missing the plot.

Attracting new donors is great, but retaining the ones you already have? That’s where things can get really tricky.

When donors stick around, it’s not just about the financial support (which is obviously great), but they also become advocates, ambassadors, and a part of your organisation’s story.

But how do you keep those relationships strong year after year?

Read our blog to find 5 practical ways to boost your donor retention and build lasting connections.
