A little over 7 years ago, we released an app called Tipu to help people learn te reo Māori. We had all sorts of ideas for extending and improving it, but projects that paid the bills always ended up getting priority. So our little app has hardly changed, however it continues to attract new users on their te reo Māori journey.

Absolutely love the app. Have learned a lot using it and I'm currently on level 5 which is getting harder but also enjoyable and keeps me interested in using the app. I can spend hours at a time on this app

We haven't looked for a while, but this prompted us to go and check out the usage stats for our app. It turns out that pretty much right on its 7th birthday last year, Tipu taught someone a new word for the one millionth time (in the same time it has taught someone a new sentence structure over 350 thousand times).
So even though we haven't got around to all of the extensions and improvements that are on our wish list, we still couldn't be more proud of what Tipu has achiveved.
