Linux. What is Linux??
Linux is a free open source alternative operating system to Microsoft Windows or Macintosh operating systems.
If you have an older Windows 7 or Windows 10 or older Macintosh computer that is still in good working condition but is no longer supported or upgradeable then Linux maybe for you.
It uses compatible programs that are also free. No subscriptions.
It can bring new life back to old computer hardware and you will be surprised how fast and responsive your old computer can become again.

Also you will be saving the landfill from E-waste.

So what do you need??
Mainly a willingness to learn but also a working computer.

We've updated our map to clearly show that you can travel to and around The Coromandel and get to the places you plan to visit via scenic coastal routes and through the gorge. SH25a is closed, and the Tapu-Coroglen road is impassable 10km past Rapaura but Riverglen is still accessible form the Coroglen end. Sun is shining, drying things out, businesses are re-opening and calm seas are allowing for time on the water. Roads are also opening up, as per advice through official channels but you will need to be patient when driving to holiday homes or seeing family and friends.
Our communities are getting back on their feet, and our hearts go out to those who are not so lucky.
