I have a gallery in Albums of my work and the installs I am experienced in. I can also provide maintenance services such recapping, refurbishing, new cart batteries, etc. I do this is my free time between normal full-time work and family life. As such my availability is irregular from time to time. Timeframes for services are discussed when commissioned. Wellington, New Zealand based. Send-in jobs are fine. DFO board also installed for accurate NTSC and PAL video and audio output, regardless of AV cable type, on this PAL region system.

The amazing XStation ODE installed in this original Sony PlayStation to play games directly off a microSD card, plus a whole lot of other convenient mods, such as:

⚡ Dual Frequency Oscillator (DFO) mod for correct PAL and NTSC GPU and colour sub carrier clocks

⚡ PS1 Reset mod. Use controller button shortcuts to reset the game or go back to the XStation game menu and stay seated on the couch.

⚡ Flash BIOS mod. The owner primarily wants to play NTSC games on this PAL console. A NTSC-U bios is being used to eliminate 50hz / 60hz switching on boot up and loading into NTSC games making for a smoother experience when connected to upscalers and streaming.

A customer imported this beautiful looking original release Japanese Sega Saturn from 1994, and sent it to me for some mod work:

⚡FRAM mod – The volatile SRAM chip inside the Saturn is replaced with a non-volatile FRAM chip. Prevents the internal saves from being lost when the internal battery dies or is removed.

⚡A full recap of the motherboard and CD Drive board.

⚡Internal 115v PSU replaced so the console can be powered with a 12v AC Adapter instead.

Hopefully has a long life ahead!

New install of Zaxour's version of the Triple Bypass V2. An audio and video bypass circuit mod for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis.

Crystal clear digital and audio HDMI upgrade for the Nintendo Wii via the Electron-AVE kit. Been a little while since I installed one of these but I haven't lost my touch (or memory of all the million different screw placements).
