Our Story
COMPUNI came from the Tagalog/Filipino word "kompuni" which means "to repair". We changed the "kom" to "COM" for obvious reasons. We started as a COMPUter repair shop in the mid 90s. Back then computer technicians and repair shops are very hard to find so COMPUNI was born. We then ventured into sales of computers, parts, accessories and peripherals and then rental and gaming. Today, when the world is too concerned about carbon footprint but seemed to have forgotten our ECOLOGICAL footprint, we have shifted our focus back on repair again, especially in the area of refurbishment. Before we used to sell brand new products only, but now we are also into sale of used and refurbished items.
We believe our good old capitalism had proven its worth during the Industrial Age, but now in these times of scarcity, we are advocating on a RESOURCE-BASED economy and we are totally against PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE.
