1% religious, 99% entitled.

Religious when there’s an audience, rude when no one’s watching.
Loud with quotes and captions, silent when it comes to actual practice.
Quick to demand respect, but allergic to giving it.
Wants everyone to understand their feelings, but other people’s feelings? Optional?

Gets called out—suddenly the victim.
Makes a mistake—can’t say sorry, only excuses.
Hates being judged, yet judges everyone with no hesitation.
Claims humility online, shows arrogance in real life.

Faith in the bio, entitlement in the attitude.
Strong opinions, weak accountability.
Always wants to be right, never wants to be responsible.
Principles change depending on what benefits them.

If things don’t go their way, instant drama.
If life doesn’t adjust for them, suddenly everyone else is the problem.
Morals are flexible, ego is not.
Conscience is quiet—as long as they feel justified.

So don’t tell me you’re righteous
when your ego is bigger than your character.
Don’t tell me you stand for values
when respect only shows up when it’s convenient.

👉 If you’re not offended, this isn’t about you.
👉 If you are offended, don’t argue—reflect.
👉 If you comment angrily, f**k you!!!… you just proved the point. 😌🔥

Smooth Friction

Cebu, Philippines — When Smooth Friction dropped their debut album Oh Yeah! in 2001, the band’s blend of progressive structures, jazzy overtones, and experimental energy didn’t fit into any box. Critics and listeners, unsure how to describe it, jokingly branded the sound as “stupid jazz.”

What started as a critique became a badge of honor—transforming into a unique identity that symbolizes the band’s rebellious spirit, complex artistry, and signature sense of humor. Today, their fans still proudly call them the original Stupid Jazz Band of Cebu.

Over two decades later, Smooth Friction continues to pioneer progressive and experimental music rooted in Cebuano/Visayan culture, blending genres in ways that remain fresh, fearless, and defiantly underground. From stupid jazz to dirty blues identity becoming entrenched now they are also pioneering vocal neo surf punk rock for their upcoming 10th album—proof that music doesn’t have to follow the rules to be unforgettable.

About Smooth Friction
Smooth Friction is a Cebu-based progressive band known for blending jazz, rock, and Visayan influences into a sound that’s proudly underground and proudly unique. With concept albums spanning genres from jazz to pop, alternative rock to dirty blues, novelty to heavy metal, EDM to punk, and their alter-ego project Ismut Priksyun, Smooth Friction has become one of the Philippines’ most versatile and pioneering bands championing the independent/DIY spirit.
By 2003, the song 'Solid ug Lawas' was a surprise hit from 'D 2nd Coming' album that contributed to the rise of Bisrock music and subculture on the following years.

Other notable songs by SF are Never Let You Go, The V Song, Kanimo, Shagit, Botelya (El Salida), Evul, Panyero, and many others from their 100+ original songs to date on all online streaming platforms. Some tracks were also featured on one Filipino major movie, two Independent films, and a motorsport documentary abroad.

This prolific and long running band has the same original lineup since they started making music in 2000 till today. Val Amodia - vocals, Kerryl Demeterio - drums, Xzajyk Caing - guitars, and Heinrich Lezama - bass guitar.

• maghilak kada episode
• mag-away kada adlaw
• maka dungog og kanta nga dili angay hilakan mo hilak gyud
• mag-walkout kung walay rice

Pag human og tan-aw?
I-apply dayon sa real life.

Ug naa pa gyud:
Makakita silag uban nag-post ug drama → daghan likes → mao sab ilaha buhaton.
Copy-paste behavior ba.

Ang ending:
I-post ang problema → magpa-hero → maghilak kay na-judge.
Murag nag-imbitar ug audience unya nasuko kay gi judge ra gihapon. 🤣🤣🤣

Murag mini-billboard ba nga nag-ingon “Look at my achievement” in short “SUMAKSES”.

3. Impression Management
Sa public, ginapakita nato ang best image;

Example: nagkita sa mall, bitbit ang yawi sa kamot, ibutang sa lamesa — subtle way of saying “KWARTAHAN KO NAA KOY AWTO”

4. Group Belonging & Social Identity

(Psychological need to belong and be recognized.)

5. Ego Boost / Self-Esteem

Over time, habitual display nalang.

7. Para dili mawala / dali makit-an

BAHALAG POBRE BASTA HILAS 😎

1. Self-Enhancement Theory
So unsay sayon?
Hilasan nalang.
Kay libre ra ang hambog. 😆

2. Impression Management
Naay uban tao hilas pero dili kwartahan,
pero kay ganahan sila tan-awon nga kwartahan.
Murag “fake it till you make it”…
pero kasagaran, wala gyud naabot sa “make it.” 😭

3. Social Comparison Theory
IRL: pobre
FB version: CEO vibes 😎

4. Defense Mechanism (Overcompensation)
Usahay kabalo sila nga pobre sila.
Masakitan sila ana.
So ilang utok mo-create ug overcompensation:

5. Tribal Dominance Display
Aimals: ang mga hayop mo-display ug dominance.
Humans: hilas.
Same energy, lahi ang delivery. 😆

NGANO ANG SOSYAL, SOSYAL GIHAPON SA PANAHON SA KATALAGMAN.

Tungod ana nga pag-anad, ilang utok mo-develop ug pattern nga:
“Ako dili kinahanglan magbuhat ana, kay naa man uban mo-handle.”

Murag defense mechanism aron di sila ma-feel nga powerless.
________________________________________
Bisan pwede man sila mulihok, ang utok moingon:
“Ngano molihok man ko nga naa man uban mutabang?”
________________________________________
4. Social Comparison Theory
Ang uban pud, gusto gihapon nga maintain ilang sense of superiority.
Psychologically, tawag ana social comparison — gusto nila ma-feel nga mas taas sila kaysa uban aron mabalanse ang ilahang self-worth.
________________________________________
5. Fear of Losing Identity
