Step into the stories behind Marikina’s iconic shoe industry.

Be part of a heritage photowalk with homegrown visual artists Raymund John Adan (.adan) and Rome Del Rosario () , as we explore the streets, workshops, and communities that have shaped Marikina’s identity as the Shoe Capital of the Philippines.

Through our cameras, we’ll get closer to the people and processes behind the craft from the hands that make the shoes to the livelihoods and everyday stories that keep this heritage alive.

The Harmandir Sahib, or the Golden Temple, in Amritsar, Punjab, was completed in 1604 and is the holiest shrine in Sikhism.

I had seen the temple in countless photographs, so I was very excited it to finally see it in person. It turned out to more magnificent than I had imagined. Despite the unforgiving July heat, its beauty and serenity eclipsed every discomfort.

When the world feels dark, the Golden Temple stands as a shining beacon of light, hope, and compassion for all who seek it.
