Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Description:
We seek an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a proven track record of managing complex logistics operations and teams. As the Operations Manager, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of our logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
Responsibilities:
✔️Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
✔️Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, including supervisors, warehouse staff, and drivers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform at their best.
✔️Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations, increase productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.
✔️Manage relationships with third-party vendors, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
✔️Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storage, and distribution. Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
✔️ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards governing logistics operations, including safety regulations and transportation laws.
✔️ Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics operations. Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
✔️ Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team, encouraging innovation, creativity, and collaboration to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications:
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
✔️ Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations management, with a proven track record of success.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
✔️ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
✔️ Solid understanding of logistics processes, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software applications.
✔️ Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.
