I am Lands, a self-taught graphic designer based in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. I specialize in layout design for prints, where I started to hone the skill way back in 2018 during my stay as an editorial staff of our school’s student publication ‘Ang Palawenian’. Around the same year, I started to get exposed to the 'business' of design when I joined Wattpad, an online community fo
r readers and writers and creatives as well, where I catered book cover design requests in exchange of follows, likes, and comments. In my few, humble years in the design and creative business industry, backed by my undergraduate degree in marketing management, I have partnered with over 70 local and multinational brands, startups, organizations, writers, fellow creatives, and other personalities in transforming creative briefs into compelling designs effective for its purpose: connecting people with designs, all while juggling my full time work in the print industry as a graphic d esigner as well. I have created designs for United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNDSG), Junior Chamber International (JCI Inc.), Junior Confederation of Finance Associations Philippines (JCPAF), Mei Nguyen Vietnamese Coffee, Tatak ni Tatang Printing Services, Shotify PH, The Black Box Mobile Bar, NCCC Malls, Iconik Palawan, Angkat Palawan, and Marina Palawan, to name a few. With my capability to turn designs into effective communication materials, aligned with client’s branding and purpose quickly, I already have made over 1,000 (and counting!) graphic and other multimedia designs for the last five years, showcasing my fair share of up-to-date, effective designs in the business, publishing, tourism, skin and health care, and food and beverage industries.
