Design / Build Track (TIA-942)
The Design / Build specialization under TIA-942 focuses on the planning, design, construction, and implementation of data center facilities based on international standards and best practices. It equips professionals with the knowledge to design resilient, scalable, and efficient data centers, covering critical infrastructure such as power, cooling, telecommunications cabling, security, fire protection, and redundancy requirements.
The certification path progresses through three levels:
• CDCP® (Certified Data Centre Professional) – Foundation-level understanding of data center infrastructure and operations.
• CDCS® (Certified Data Centre Specialist) – Advanced design and implementation of data center facilities, including upgrades and new builds.
• CDCE® (Certified Data Centre Expert) – Expert-level data center design, project evaluation, and mission-critical facility planning.
• CNCDP® (Certified Network Cabling Design Professional) – Focuses on structured cabling design and implementation, from outside plant cabling to rack-level connectivity.
Ideal for: Data Center Managers, Facility Engineers, IT Infrastructure Managers, Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and professionals involved in designing or building data center facilities.
Key Outcome: Learn how to design and build data centers that meet TIA-942 requirements for reliability, availability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
