Chinese scientists are developing infrared contact lenses designed to help people see in the dark, potentially even with their eyes closed.

The technology uses infrared light that is normally invisible to the human eye and converts it into visible information, opening up new possibilities for AI, wearable technology, night vision, and human augmentation.

If developed further, infrared vision could become more compact and accessible than traditional night-vision systems.
