ICYMI: It was a SUCCESS for BBIX Ph an InfiniVAN Company on its recent event titled, "BGP Meeting in the Philippines 1.1" which happened last July 30, 2024, at Grand Hyatt Manila, Bonifacio Global City.

Said BGP Meeting is a thought leadership originated from its mother company, BBIX, Inc. based in Japan. This session covered the following topics: (re)Introduction of BBIX Ph, Internet Exchange, ASN, and the current Internet Landscape.

It was indeed an afternoon packed with learning and exchanges of relevant topics.

Connecting Digital Structures Towards Digitalization.

A meaningful merge of hyper collaboration was inked last November 6, 2023, between BBIX Ph and ePLDT. Through a contract signing ceremony, the two companies unite to expand and progress their facilities and services in line with data center infrastructures and relevant capacities.

BBIX Ph is a joint venture company of BBIX Inc. and InfiniVAN Inc. that is set to deliver high-end Internet Exchange service in the country. Through this empowered collaboration with ePLDT, the telecommunication and carrier network industry is seen to elevate the country’s status as the next digital destination.

Part of this breakthrough are the following: Mr. Michikazu Fukuchi, President & CEO of BBIX Philippines; Mr. Takeshi Ohba, COO of BBIX Philippines, and Mr. Alberto Espedido, Chief Technology Officer of InfiniVAN and BBIX Philippines together with Mr. Victor Genuino, President and CEO of ePLDT; Mr. Mitch Locsin, First Vice President and Head of Enterprise & International Business Groups of PLDT Enterprise; and Mr. Gary Ignacio, Chief Data Center Officer of ePLDT.

IN FRAMES: BBIX Ph is thrilled to finish its first-ever Borderless Group of Peering or BGP Meeting in Manila 2023 held on November 6, 2023, at New World Hotel, Makati City.

In photos are the highlights of the first overseas meeting event of BGP through BBIX Ph, a joint-venture company of BBIX Inc. and InfiniVAN Inc. Various executives, leaders, and decision-makers from different technology industries gathered at this event to learn and share advancing ideas, especially on the Internet, Internet Exchange, and Peering.

Speakers from local and international digital companies shared one stage to discuss their insights on the current technology trends in the country and provided their views on how to improve the Philippines' digital landscape and infrastructure to deliver high-quality services.

This year's BGP in Manila Panel Members are composed of Mr. Alejandro Aquino (InfiniVAN Inc.); Mr. Alberto Espedido (InfiniVAN Inc.); Mr. Joel Dabao (Kabankalan CATV); Mr. Raphael Ho (Digital Edge); and Mr. Yutaro Fujii (Fastly). And Mr. Achie Atienza (PhNOG) as the meeting's moderator.

Also, present at the said event is the Department of Information and Communications Technology - DICT's - Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center - CICC (DICT - CICC) Undersecretary Alexander Ramos.
