It has been 86 days since the War began in Gaza, a period marked by the tragic loss of hundreds of innocent lives, including children and women. Amidst these dire circumstances, a concerning silence prevails globally, overshadowing the gravity of this humanitarian crisis.
As the world celebrates the New Year, reveling in the mere transition of a date, it's important to acknowledge the ongoing suffering and plight of those affected by the conflict. The reality remains stark and unchanged; the distressing situation in Gaza, especially the plight of Muslims facing hardships, continues without sufficient global attention or intervention.
In light of these events, the usual sentiments of joy and celebration associated with the New Year do not resonate with me. For me, this is not a moment of happiness but a solemn reminder that a change in the date does little to alter the harsh realities faced by many.
