Being a freelancer in Pakistan I tried to explain what I'm facing these days especially when freelancers in Pakistan need reliable internet that is the backbone of their work. However, slow internet has become a significant bottleneck, affecting productivity, revenue and customer relationships. We got missed deadlines, We freelancers often work with tight deadlines, and a slow internet connection can lead to delays in submitting work, missed opportunities and even lost clients. Plus communication barriers that we got due to slow internet because effective communication is essential for freelancing. A slow internet connection disrupts video calls, prevents real-time collaboration and makes it difficult to maintain strong customer relationships that leads to loss of income as specifically for freelancers time is really money. When slow internet affects ability to work efficiently, it has a direct impact on the profit potential, especially in competitive global markets.
In a result of these practices by the Govt. we lost access to opportunities because slow internet can prevent freelancers from accessing online platforms, applying for jobs and staying up to date with industry trends, putting them at a disadvantage compared to the peers in other industries.
In a country where self-employment is a growing source of income for many, it is essential that the internet infrastructure keeps pace with the demands of the digital workforce. Investing in better connectivity isn't just about convenience—it's about empowering freelancers to succeed on a global stage.
