BITSYM LABS DEVELOPS PAKISTAN’S FIRST 6G TELECOMMUNICATION RESEARCH TESTBED
Bitsym Labs has developed Pakistan’s first Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) Testbed. ORAN is a state of the art 6th Generation communications technology. The testbed can be used for developing applications for potential 6th generation communication technologies to be launched at the end of current decade. It integrates Radio Access Network Intelligent Controller and a full fledge 3gpp protocol stack for both centralized and distributed learning of network features in real-time, providing inferences on data gathered and predicting network scenarios such as intelligent network resource planning ahead of time using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. A development team at Bitsym including 15 PhDs from top schools of the world and top industrial research collaborating scientists is affiliated with labs and active in the six major divisions of Telecommunications, Networks, Digital Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Semiconductors: Chip Design and RISC-V, Computer Vision to meet the needs of next generation information and communication technologies infrastructure. Under the ORAN Framework, Bitsym Labs has become first Pakistani company to join VMWare Technology Alliance Partner Program with likes of Indian Giants such as WiPro, Tech Mahindra, TATA and International partners such as Nokia Bell Labs and Capgemini.
Bitsym Labs is forming partnerships with potential top scientists of the country and abroad in order to be a major tech and innovation player aiming to completely revamp the innovation ecosystem of Pakistan and the region over the next decade. Bitsym Labs also has developed a full fledge cloud and edge security framework, with the company actively providing services to potential enterprises in securing their digital infrastructures across the globe.
Bitsym Labs is also planning to provide industrial trainings in near future in state of the art industrial technologies such as NFV, SDN, ORAN, AIML, Chip Design & RISC V with top Industrial and academic experts from Europe, UK, Australia, USA, GCC and other advanced countries.
Located near the education corridor of Islamabad with FAST and NUST as neighbours, Bitsym Labs is the research , development and innovation arm of Bitsym, a 2012 Global Entrepreneurship Week most promising startup, accelerated by MIT Enterprise Forum in 2015, UNIDO Cleantech Program in 2015-16 and winner of UNIDO Cleantech Industrial Innovation award in 2018-19. Neighbouring manufacturing giants such as Volta and OSAKA at Hattar Special Economic Zone, Bitsym is at advanced stage to develop a full fledge Devices manufacturing facility at its 200,000 square feet planned manufacturing space at Hattar Special Economic Zone with a 15000 square feet manufacturing hall ready for tooling. A national Bitsym Technology Park is also part of the plans in near future with land acquisition in progress near National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad.
