This year, leadership didn't cut the cake.
It was cut by the people who open our office every morning and keep it safe every night. The ones who are part of every celebration but rarely in the middle of one.
It felt right. Independence was never the work of a famous few. It was carried by thousands of ordinary hands, most of them never named. Today belongs to them, and to everyone like them.
Happy Independence Day, Pakistan. 79 years. 🇵🇰
