We have an immediate need for a full-stack WordPress developer for our Projects. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of WordPress development standards and best practices. Strong front-end skills and experience creating and working with custom themes is required.
You’ll spend your day (in order of most time spent):
• Translate exact replica of PSD and AI designs into HTML & WordPress
• Creating pixel perfect websites for desktop and mobile via WordPress
• Creating landing pages and forms that get our clients leads and sales (HTML & CSS)
• Working closely with a large, cross-functional team of designers, marketers, and web devs
• Editing WordPress themes to be 20% more awesome
• Building emails and templates in MailChimp
• Optimizing the user interfaces of sites
• Updating sites and fixing bugs
• Dealing with random hosting, DNS, and website issues that pop up
• Collaborating and problem-solving with the creative and digital teams to create unique digital solutions to meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The most important qualification is a willingness and ability to learn! Desired requirements for this position includes:
• Be a problem solver and ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time
• 3 or 4 years of WordPress, HTML5 and CSS3 Responsive Design experience (editing premade WordPress themes is not experience)
• Ability to operate Photoshop and Illustrator at a basic level (to translate PSD and AI designs into HTML & WordPress)
• Building UI’s to specifications based on provided PSD mockups
• Implementing WP-Plugins when plugins are ideal (and knowing when they aren’t)
• Implementing 3rd-party libraries and basic APIs
• Social media API experience
• Google Maps API experience
• Front End Frameworks – Foundation, Bootstrap, etc
• Javascript (jQuery is great, JSON is a plus)
• Experience with ControlPanel, PHPmyAdmin, and databases
• PHP coding ability
• Ability to use web inspectors (Chrome, Firefox, whatever)
• Exposure to hosting a dev site or local test server (for example MAMP or WAMP)

As a Web Scraping focused Data Engineer, you will be responsible for extracting and ingesting data from websites by building python based crawling tools.
In this role you will own the creation process of these tools, services, and workflows to improve crawl scrape analysis, reports and data management.
We will rely on you to test the data and the scrape to insure accuracy and quality.
You will own the process to identify and rectify any issues with breaks as well as scale scrapes as needed.

In addition, you will work on analyzing web scraped data to generate actionable signals

• Experience running large scale web scrapes
• Solid Python knowledge
• Familiarity with Linux\/UNIX, HTTP, HTML, Javascript and Networking
• Familiarity with techniques and tools for crawling, extracting and processing data (e.g. Scrapy, pandas, mapreduce, SQL, BeautifulSoup, etc).
• Experience with system monitoring/administration tools
• Experience with version control, open source practices, and code review
• Experience with applications designed to display archived web content
• Great analytical and problem solving skills
• Prior Experience with analyzing big data sets is a plus
• Great communication skills
• Familiarity with web automation using Selenium and Computer vision
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent demonstrated experience
