Center for Language Engineering (CLE) is conducting research and development in linguistic and computational aspects of languages, specifically of Pakistan and developing Asia. The delegation visited the Quaid-E-Azam Library, Lahore, along with the team from the Center for Language Engineering (CLE), KICS, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, on November 11, 2025.

During the visit, the delegation met with Mr. Abdul Rahim, Chief Librarian and Mr. Kashif Manzoor, Director General of Public Libraries Punjab to discuss the digitization and online accessibility of rare and historical collections of books. The meeting primarily focused on developing digital infrastructure, promoting open access, and fostering collaborative research in South Asian languages. The discussion highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to enhance knowledge sharing and research in local and underrepresented languages, thereby contributing to social and economic development.

The CLE team, along with German and Sri Lankan delegation, met with Dr. Ejaz Mairaj, Chief Librarian of the National Library of Engineering Sciences, UET Lahore, on 10th November 2025.

The research team from the Center for Language Engineering (CLE), KICS-UET Lahore, visited the Universität Konstanz (University of Konstanz), Germany, on 9th July 2025 as part of the ongoing activities under the DigSAL project.

During the visit, the team presented the progress on the development of two academic courses: "Speech Processing using Deep Learning" and "Image Processing for Language Digitization." The meetings also facilitated collaborative discussions with researchers from Germany and Sri Lanka, aimed at enhancing the quality and impact of the project's outcomes.
