🇮🇷 Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman:
➡️The visit of the Pakistani army chief is a continuation of the diplomatic process and does not necessarily imply that we have reached a turning point or a decisive situation.
➡️We cannot claim to be close to an agreement; no, we are not.
➡️The differences between Iran and the United States are so deep and numerous that it cannot be guaranteed that we will reach a definitive conclusion with several visits or negotiations in a few weeks.
➡️The objective of these negotiations is to end the war, and at this stage, there are no plans to address the nuclear issue.
➡️Issues such as ending the war on all fronts, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and ending US maritime piracy remain under discussion.
➡️For now, our only priority is ending the war.
In the current situation, we must first reach a concrete solution to the war that addresses our concerns and interests; whether we will address other issues later is another matter.
➡️Regarding the nuclear issue, the task is very clear: we are members of the NPT and have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
➡️A delegation from Qatar arrived in Iran today and held talks with the Foreign Minister.
➡️Several countries are trying to prevent an escalation, but Pakistan remains the official mediator in the talks.
