Today I visited Schorfheide, one of the largest continuous forest areas in Germany. It was once a famous hunting ground used by kings, emperors, and political leaders for centuries.
What makes it special is that parts of Schorfheide have been protected for centuries and today belong to the UNESCO-listed Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve, home to rare wildlife such as red deer, sea eagles, and cranes. 🌲🦌
Today, it’s one of Germany’s most beautiful forest regions and a paradise for nature lovers.
It’s around 45 minutes drive from Berlin!
Loved exploring it today! 🇩🇪
