Stop immediately distorting , deleting it and generalizing. This is the sign of weak and unintelligent people.

Start focusing. Focusing will be converted into feelings.

Focus on what's present or available and under your control to create more instead of focusing on the missing or past or what's beyond your control. This is Stoicism. Otherwise you'll be depressed, sad, anxious and unhappy.

What you focus will become meaningful for you. Meaning will make you emotional about your goals. You'll have a great life as a result.

Thoughts to ponder

1. Even if you're so thirsty, don't drink from every cup that is presented to you.
Sometimes, poison is served sweetly.

And the more you make yourself available to people, the more chances they take you for granted. Don't make them realize your worth when you're gone. Make them realize it when you need to. Not to brag, not to be proud but because you really are worthy and you deserve to be treated as such.

2. Be emotionally ready for disagreements.
Maturity is freely expressing your opinions and beliefs, without the insecured feeling of being challenged or attacked. Don't take things personally. Remember, most of your stress comes from the way you respond, not the way life is.

Let people say what they have to say.
Whether to respond to each and everything is your choice.

3. Trust but don't trust too much.
It's great to see the good in people. However, make sure to set your boundaries to protect yourself. The more you seek approval from others, the less you give importance to yourself.

And if you find yourself in toxic relationships over and over again, then my apologies for saying this, but it’s your fault.
You teach people how to treat you.

4. Whatever you think is stopping you from living the life you want has absolutely no power over you. They are just temptations and excuses you put in your head. So the only thing that tries to stop you, is actually YOU.

5. People don't have to believe you, nor convince them to do so. Just believe in yourself and the rest will follow. To influence people, you have to inspire them. But allow them to realize it themselves. Not because you say it. But because they know so.

More thoughts to ponder.

1. Confident people are humble and respectful.
The wealthy and the intelligent ones do not brag about what they have. They support people. Just as the saying goes..
Good leaders create more good leaders.
Not followers.

2. It's bewildering when someone misjudge a person who suddenly change his/her good behavior and is labeled as "now they show their true color" as if being mad is a person's "real color" and being kind is "fake"
Or as if people are not allowed to show their bad side especially when they're always kind.

I get mad. Don't we all?
And it doesn't mean madness is our true color.

3. The smarter you get, the lesser you speak.
Intelligent and successful people speak about vision. While the opposite talks about gossip.

4. The ones who are willing to take the blame
are the most responsible. You don't have to be right all the time. Be humble to admit it when you're wrong, and be more humble when you're right. There's no need to drag someone down just to prove a point.

To listen to others point of view even if you already know the answer is a sign of a good learner's attitude. And to take criticism in a constructive way is a sign of an achiever.

5. Normalize saying NO without the need to over explain yourself. You don't owe anyone an explanation. Do not compromise yourself or your loved ones to please people whom you're afraid won't understand/accept a NO for an answer. That itself is a good reason why.
