The direct aim of the project is to build the Southern Railway Cluster as the effective network initiative for creating favorable conditions for the development of enterprises operating in the railway industry of Poland. The SRC also will enable the consolidation of the railway sector among the members of the Cluster, technology transfer, benchmarking in the field of modern HI-TECH solutions and t

he creation of innovative products for rail traffic. This will be achieved through the service orientated architecture and the synergy effect. Among the specific objectives, which are also the basis for this Cluster, can be distinguished:

· Improving the quality of services offered
· Creating innovative solutions in the industry and their subsequent implementation in current use
· Increase the reliability and security of systems maintenance in railway industry, mainly through the transfer of technologies for the diagnosis and assessment of railway infrastructure.
· Support scientific research initiatives for improving the quality of the rail infrastructure and its safety level
