You bought an alarm. The marketing looked great. The app says "ARMED." You sleep better.

But marketing doesn't stop a burglar. Testing does.

A EUR 29 sensor and a EUR 120 sensor can look identical in an online listing. Same white plastic.Same "wireless" label. Same "easy install" promise. The difference is invisible in the product photo — but it determines whether your alarm actually works when it matters.

That difference is what happens inside a test lab.

At Roombanker, every sensor goes through environmental chambers cycling from -25°C to +55°C while actively transmitting. Interference testing floods the wireless signal with noise — the kind of radio chaos that happens in any building with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speakers, and five neighbors — to verify the sensor doesn't lose connection. Accelerated life testing simulates 7 years of field use before the first unit ships. Tamper testing verifies the housing can't be popped open without
triggering an alarm.

These tests are not marketing. They are not visible on a spec sheet. They are what separates a device that works on day one from a device that still works on day 1,825.

A cheap alarm passes the Amazon listing test — it looks good in a photo with a bold headline. A professional alarm passes the Eurofins EN 50131 Grade 2 certification — it works after five summers in a Greek attic and five winters on a Polish shop door.

Good products are not defined by their marketing. They are defined by what happens in the lab before the marketing team ever sees them.

Let's do some quick math.

A typical wireless alarm system has 8 sensors. If each sensor needs a new CR123A every 12 months, that's 8 battery runs per system per year. 30 minutes each. EUR 30 per visit.

Now multiply by how many systems you manage. 50 systems? That's EUR 12,000 a year. Just changing batteries.

Now compare: a Sub-GHz sensor with event-driven protocol. Same CR123A battery. But it sleeps 99.7% of the time instead of polling the hub every few seconds. Result? 5 to 6 years on a single cell.

One battery change in 5 years instead of five.

The difference isn't the battery. It's the protocol that controls when the sensor wakes up.

How many systems do you manage? Drop your number below.

Every installer has that ONE site. The one where you walk in, look at the walls, and think "you've got to be kidding me."

Steel roller shutters. Half-meter stone walls. Basement signal dead zones. Steel beam ceilings. And the client standing there saying "but your spec sheet says 3,500 meter range" — while standing inside what is essentially a Faraday cage.

Above is one of the worst we've seen. You've definitely seen worse.

Are you still losing time and money on "device offline" callbacks in concrete buildings? 🏢 We decided to put standard 2.4GHz Zigbee to the ultimate test against our Sub-GHz RBF protocol.
Welcome to the Signal Death Race. ☠️
We turned our office stairwell into a 9-floor concrete dungeon survival game. The results speak for themselves: ❌ Standard Zigbee: Knocked out at Floor 8. 🏆 Roombanker RBF: Penetrated 6 FLOORS deeper into the darkness.
When installing security systems in thick concrete apartments, frequency matters. High frequency means short range. Stop playing games with weak signals.
Are you Team Zigbee or Team Sub-GHz? Drop a comment and let’s debate! 🥊

Walk down a commercial street in your city. Count 100 shops. How many have an alarm system?

Here's what the data shows:

Turkey, main cities ≈ 40%
Greece, Athens ≈ 35%
Romania ≈ 25%
North Macedonia < 15%

(Source: 2025 Euralarm European Security Market Report)

Translation: 60 to 85 out of every 100 shops are unprotected. That's your market.

Why are so many shops unprotected? Most shop owners think alarms are "too complicated," "too expensive," or "need drilling through walls."

That's exactly where Roombanker's wireless system changes the conversation. 30-minute install. No drilling. No cables. 60 unprotected shops = 60 potential leads.

Walk your street this weekend. Count. Then drop your city + estimated % in the comments. 👇

Next week we'll compile everything into the first community-sourced European alarm pe*******on map.

Every installer has heard it: "Too expensive."

Here's what Turkish and Greek installers use to turn the conversation around:

———

Customer: "I'll just buy one online and install it myself."

Response: "Go ahead. But your insurance company requires EN50131 Grade 2 certification. That Amazon system doesn't have it. When something happens and the claim gets denied — you call me then, and I can't help."

———

Customer: "Alarms don't work anyway."

Response: "You're right that just a siren isn't enough. That's why Roombanker links the PIR sensor to a camera. Alarm triggers, you see the photo on your phone instantly. False alarm or real threat — you know before you call anyone."

———

What's YOUR best response to "too expensive"?

Day 1095. The city is dead. The power grid has been down for 3 years. I thought I had completely cleared this sector... until the red light flashed. 🚨

How is it still working? The Roombanker PIR sensor was designed with a 5-YEAR battery life. When the world stopped, it kept watching.

Your home might not face a zombie apocalypse, but shouldn't your security be built like it could?
