PURO, Polish hotel brand with Nordic roots, has opened its newest location in Warsaw’s Old Town, where iconic design meets local charm. This hotel introduces a touch of Nordic soft minimalism to the heart of Poland’s capital.

With interiors designed by GamFratesi, the project focuses on timeless materials and human-centered spaces that encourage interaction and a sense of belonging.

A key element of the wayfinding system is the Polin typeface by Mateusz Machalski from Capitalics Warsaw Type Foundry. Rooted in the tradition of Polish modernism, its geometric discipline and expressive clarity anchor the project locally – showing how typography can guide guests while also strengthening the identity and prestige of the place.

Słoneczne Tarasy is a contemporary residential building set within the historic center of Łódź. The project completes the traditional street frontage while stepping back its front facade to create an intimate urban forecourt framed by an openwork steel arcade. It is a subtle reference to the city’s industrial heritage.

When designing the wayfinding system, we treated the architecture as the starting point. Its refined detailing and monochromatic palette echo the rhythms of the architecture.

Its typographic foundation is ABC Whyte Inktrap – a contemporary geometric sans-serif known for its distinctive ink traps. These subtle cuts give the letterforms technical sharpness and personality It is also aligning with the building’s industrial character. Accompanying the typography is a custom-designed linear pattern that runs consistently throughout the system. This motif establishes a rhythm that balances structure with visual subtlety.

We are happy to announce, that our wayfinding for Lakeside office buildings in Warsaw has just received Gold in the German Design Award 2026!

The German Design Awards are the international premium prize of the German Design Council. With their global reach and international reputation, they are among the most respected
awards in the design landscape.

The Gold distinction is the highest honor of the German Design Awards. It recognizes excellent, holistic, and innovative achievements in design that set forward-looking impulses
for entire industries. Usually, one or two Gold winners are selected per category.

We are at the absolute elite – in 2026, there were more than 3,900 entries from 57 countries. A total of 54 Gold projects were awarded, of which only 15 were given in category of Excellent Communications Design. Our wayfinding design was the only signage project that has received the highest award. And to further highlight our achievement, this year we were the only Polish project to receive the highest award. And to further highlight our achievement, this year we were the only Polish project to receive Gold.

When we, together with Workplace, started working on the Lipton Teas and Infusions Global Services Hub in Katowice, the brand was already transforming into a more playful, lifestyle-driven identity.

This shift became the foundation for the office concept and its wayfinding system – built around gradients, warm colours and soft curves inspired by tea brewing, flavours and natural materials.

The result is a space where colour and form flow seamlessly across walls, furniture and graphics, helping users intuitively navigate the office. They can experience the renewed energy of the Lipton brand.

DOKI Living is an evolving mixed-use development situated in the heart of Gdańsk’s former shipyard. Each phase adds another layer to a growing urban environment that blends contemporary architecture with traces of industrial history.

This stage combines two complementary directions: graphics inspired by the shipyard landscape and the stencil character of the TT Tricks typeface, which forms the backbone of the project’s signage. The garage graphics draw from the geometry of cranes, docks and steel structures, translated into simplified, large-format compositions. Parallel to this, the signage uses TT Tricks in its various stencil versions, reinforcing a technical, industrial aesthetic.

Together, these two layers create a cohesive and site-specific wayfinding system. The graphics set the atmosphere of the space, while the typography provides clarity and structure — resulting in navigation that is intuitive, visually unified and deeply connected to the identity of the historic shipyard.

Gdynia Waterfront is a project built on contrast: the precision of modern design meets the softness of the coastal landscape. When designing the wayfinding system for the interior, we wanted to reflect this duality, creating signage that feels both functional and expressive.

While the main sign carriers maintain a clear, minimalistic structure, we brought fluidity into the inner space through the typographic duo NT Fabulous and Futura PT, as well as the graphic motifs used in the underground garage.

A key part of this system is the custom set of pictograms created specifically for the building. Their smooth, dynamic lines contrast beautifully with the more geometric signage carriers used inside. Inspired by the flow of the harbor, Gdynia’s modernist forms, and the architecture of the complex, the pictograms add energy, motion, and character to every space.

A coherent signage system can shape how we perceive architecture — highlighting the identity of a place and making it more intuitive to use.

For the Waterfront complex in Gdynia, located between Kościuszko Square and the President’s Quay, we created a wayfinding system that reflects the spirit of this modern, seaside district. The architectural concept blends modern design with Gdynia’s iconic modernism, simplicity of form, and the character of the port.

Our 3D and graphic designs draw directly from these inspirations. The rounded edges of the main pylons echo the silhouettes of ships in the harbor, while the NT Fabulous typeface — paired with clean Futura PT — ensures both elegance and readability. Custom pictograms with smooth, dynamic lines complete the visual language of the space.

🏆 We’re thrilled to announce that Blank Studio has been awarded the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2025!

Our wayfinding system for the Lakeside office buildings in Warsaw has been recognised in the world’s most prestigious communication design competition. Received such „dot” is a truly special honour that confirms the importance of thoughtful, aesthetic, and functional design in shaping meaningful user experiences.

The award ceremony took place on 7th November 2025 at the Konzerthaus Berlin — a wonderfully fitting venue for such a celebration.

Golden Pin Design Mark Award, an enormous international recognition for our wayfinding design project for Pixel XL Poland! And the certificate has just arrived!

The 2025 Golden Pin Design Award held its secondary and final selection in September in Taipei, announcing 429 Design Mark recipients on September 2. The award-winning entries, spanning 13 regions including Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Poland, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, the United States, and Germany, have also advanced to the final selection stage.

New wayfinding design!
Lux Med Stomatology.

In autumn 2025, LUX MED opened its first facility in Gdynia, in the Waterfront building, implementing a new brand image strategy. This includes also wayfinding and space branding. The Gdynia facility is an announcement of changes in all of the company's branches and a new quality on the healthcare market in Poland.

The interior design, choice of materials and the nature of the signage system all had one goal – we wanted patients to feel, from the moment they entered, that this place was designed with them in mind – their health, emotions and sense of security. Graphics and information carriers were based on several characteristic features: simple geometric shapes, natural colours, curves and pleasant details.

The main basis of the system is the Netto font. Its technical design makes our wayfinding and signage clear, providing essential information in fast and stressless way. During the work, we also prepared a refreshed set of pictograms and designed it based on the selected typeface. All icons have the same proportions and are matched to the typography, making them a smooth extension of it.

Hey! Let’s meet our latest project!

The wayfinding for the Resi4Rent Romanowicza rental apartment complex in Krakow.

There, tenants not only receive a ready-to-move-in flat, but also get access to common areas: co-working zones, a cinema room and recreational areas. This dynamism is therefore inherent in the way this space operates. Its users must feel comfortable, at home and able to easily find the features they are interested in, regardless of how long they are staying here. These were the key guidelines that inspired us when designing the signage system for this complex.

The signage system prepared for this space is characterised by a dynamic and pleasing design. Its basic elements are the distinctive Mohol font (by Hungarumlaut), visually bonded pictograms and colourful geometric forms. The dynamism is also visible in the wide palette of colours and materials. Within the wayfinding system, the chosen materials include plywood, painted and stickered elements – in all compositions, they create an interesting, multi-layered and three-dimensional creation.
