Last week, we launched 13 MG Motor websites across MENA, covering the regional hub and 12 distributor markets from GCC to North Africa. In just 3 months.

It was a full-scale transformation: from design and infrastructure to content and regional deployment.

🌍 13 websites

🌐 3 languages (EN / AR / FR)

🧱 Full redesign + migration

⚡ Zero downtime rollout

We started with workshops on-site, aligning teams across regions and defining a shared vision. We spent time in showrooms, understanding how customers actually experience the brand.

We redesigned everything, from UX and navigation to visual storytelling.

And we rebuilt the entire ecosystem to make it scalable, fast and ready for growth. Even when 2 of our AWS servers were hit by rockets, we adapted quickly, ensuring stability and keeping the rollout on track without delays.

The result?

Unified, 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬, what the industry now calls 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞-𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥.

This project shows what’s possible when strategy, design, and technology come together… not as separate steps, but as one coordinated effort together with MG MENA. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭!

And more importantly: it’s not a one-off.

It’s a blueprint that can be replicated across regions.

Your OEM website is a massive sales funnel asset. 📈

According to the JD Power 2026 U.S. Manufacturer Website Evaluation Study, your website is an important engine driving the modern automotive buyer journey.

🔍 For undecided shoppers, it is a primary exploration engine – 94% of them visit the manufacturer's website and spend significant time browsing detailed content.

✅ 83% of undecided shoppers websites still remain a mandatory destination for product validation and technical specification checks.

✨ 66%+ of those undecided shoppers say they would consider purchasing the brand featured on the website after engaging with its content.

As Cory Maxwell, digital experience consultant at JD Power, noted:
“One in three new-vehicle shoppers begin their journey without a specific brand in mind, yet nearly all of them still visit an OEM website. While those shoppers are highly engaged, we continue to see that about 20 percent of OEM sites prioritize branding over the detailed vehicle information shoppers are actively seeking.”

This iterative process is not a sign that something went wrong.
It’s a sign that the team is doing the work properly.

Behind every well-designed digital solution are dozens of iterations:
ideas tested, assumptions challenged, flows redesigned and features refined.

From the outside, people usually only see the finished interface or the final release.

What they rarely see is the process: the whiteboards full of diagrams, the discussions around edge cases, the adjustments after feedback and the constant improvements along the way.

Whether it’s CMS implementations, Stock Locator customizations or verifyling and scoring leads with AI the best results come from collaboration, testing... 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 - 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Recently we experienced an AWS outage in the Bahrain region affecting part of our infrastructure. Not just us, a lot of companies.

Fortunately, we handled the situation smoothly, mainly thanks to preparation.

As Tomasz Badowiec, CTO at Reffine, commented the situation with the servers:
“The cloud sometimes feels like something abstract, but it’s still physical infrastructure. These are real servers in real locations. And when something happens there, you need to be ready.”

A few things that worked well and might be useful for others:

1️⃣ Our monitoring tools alerted us almost 𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which gave us valuable time to react.

2️⃣ Instead of deciding what to do under pressure, we followed our predefined 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬.

3️⃣ Our 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 and ultimately successful, but we learned how to make the next one much faster (shall it ever happen).

4️⃣ With Infrastructure as Code we didn’t need to manually configure everything (though some things needed to be done manually). The environment could be 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫.

5️⃣ Doing regular backups meant that even in a worst-case scenario, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞.

And as Krzysztof Niksinski, Platform engineering Team Lead at Reffine, noted after the incident:
“This kind of work is usually invisible. When everything runs smoothly, nobody thinks about it, but it’s crucial for everything else to work properly.”

Incidents like this are a good reminder that monitoring, automation and disaster recovery planning really matter.

Last week we had a meeting during which every team took the stage to share their highlights from 2025. And there was a lot to be proud of.

Why two months later?
Well… we’ve had plenty of work, and as always, projects and deadlines come first, so we decided to postpone it a bit.But it was worth the wait. 💪

During our summary meeting we discussed:
✔️ What went well (a lot!)
✔️ What we’ve learned
✔️ Where we’re heading next
✔️ Our growth plans for the coming year

Beyond the strategy and numbers, what makes this meeting unique is the atmosphere. Honest conversations. Engaged discussions. Shared responsibility for what comes next.
And of course... a little fun too.

Competitions, quizzes and some healthy team rivalry reminded us that great results and great energy can absolutely go hand in hand.

A very special moment this year was celebrating Krzysztof Niksinski's 10 years at Reffine.

Excited for what’s ahead. Ready for 2026.

On the surface, most CMS platforms look the same.
Same dashboards.
Same feature lists.
Same promises:
“Flexible, scalable, future-proof.”

So you choose an off-the-shelf CMS. Big brand. Big name.
The implementation goes smoothly.

The templates are there. The admin panel works.
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲. 𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥... 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭.

Because then you need something specific:
🔹 local integration with a retailer.
🔹 market-specific feature for a campaign.
🔹 custom component that doesn’t exist in the “standard package.”
🔹 new way to present offers, finance options or stock data.

So you contact your support person.

And that’s where the stairs begin.
A long process.
Endless calls.
Tickets forwarded between teams.
“Let’s schedule another meeting.”

Suddenly, what was supposed to be a platform becomes a limitation.
And instead of your CMS supporting your growth… your business starts adapting to the CMS.

At Reffine, we believe it should work the other way around.
You shouldn't have to fix your business into a box.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬.
Because automotive brands don’t operate in one market.
They operate across complex ecosystems: with integrations, partners, regulations, and local realities.

That’s why we build platforms designed for change.
Not stiff boxes.
More like origami.

Security and customer data are rarely something we actively worry about… until it’s too late.

That’s when a “non-issue” turns into a serious risk: financially, legally and reputationally.

workloads increasingly touch sensitive customer data, vehicle data and core business systems. Without a secure and well-governed platform, even the most advanced AI model becomes a liability.
That’s why security-by-design must be foundational.

Working with global automotive clients, we see just how critical this is. Different markets, different regulations, different risk profiles, but one shared expectation:
🔐 AI must be secure from day one.

This quote from Krzysztof Niksinski , PET Lead and Engineer at Reffine, was shared as a comment on a newsletter"

“What is the #1 concern for 650+ automotive AI developers? It’s not speed.”

A car lost for 400 days. Sounds impossible… until it happens.

An article on Automotive Management (AM) (written by Tom Seymour) caught our attention. 👀

A dealer group in the UK reportedly lost track of a brand-new car for over a year - it was not stolen, not sold, just… 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦.

👉 An interesting read, not to point fingers, but to highlight a very real challenge in automotive retail: stock visibility and governance at scale.

When stock data lives across multiple systems, spreadsheets, feeds, and manual processes, problems don’t usually appear as “big failures” on day one.

They start small:
🔹 unclear vehicle status;
🔹 inconsistent updates between systems;
🔹 limited ownership and approval rules;
🔹 poor visibility across locations.
Over time, those small gaps turn into expensive blind spots.

We know these challenges well — and that’s exactly why, over time, we made some crucial decisions while building Stock Locator, our inventory management solution.

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫:

✅ every vehicle has a clearly defined lifecycle and status;
✅ soft and hard locks prevent the same vehicle from being “available everywhere and nowhere”;
✅ centralized stock management gives OEMs and dealer groups a single source of truth;
✅ permissions, approvals and automations reduce reliance on manual updates;
✅ gives full visibility across retailers, regions, and markets - not isolated silos.

It’s not about control for control’s sake.
It’s about clarity, trust in the data, and the ability to confidently answer one simple question at any time:
➡️ “Where is this car - and what’s its real status right now?”

Stories like this are a good reminder that stock management isn’t just an operational detail.
It directly impacts sales, customer experience, and brand credibility.

The goal of our newsletter is simple: to share actionable knowledge directly with YOU.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our community find real value in our content. This recent feedback from Zaaboub kais highlights exactly why we do what we do:
"When AI becomes part of how customers decide and how operations perform, companies that already run with rigor and clarity will accelerate far ahead. Very strong insights from Marcio and the Inchcape team."

If you missed our deep dive with Marcio Rodriguez Granado, Head of Growth at Inchcape Américas, you missed a masterclass on the future of automotive marketing. Marcio moves past the hype to explain how AI is fundamentally shifting the sales funnel from simple search to "opinion-based" interfaces.

4.6M units is a massive achievement, yet BYD’s hunger for more is evident... they actually missed their ambitious target by nearly 17%.

To us, this gap doesn't signal a struggle. It signals even greater ambitions for global expansion.

The scale and growth of BYD and other Chinese brands remain nothing short of extraordinary.

As for the 'overachievers' who surpassed their targets, they’ve proven to be the ones with the most efficient supply chains and the fastest product iterations.
They aren't just selling cars, they are mastering the "speed of software" in a hardware world.

When you look at these 2025 numbers, do you see a market that is consolidating, or one that is just beginning to fragment?
