Our integrations are technologically based on three types of solutions.

🔌 Medway Enterprise Service Bus

It is a solution for the multi-track, multi-channel interconnection of multiple devices and systems based on different communication technologies.

🔌 Distributability and scalability

Medway Integration Bus is built on the latest technologies and can run in a distributed environment, on multiple machines, in the cloud, or virtual containers… It also allows you to scale the solution as the workload increases, for example, when you expand the system with new components.

🔌 A coherent system instead of a simple sum of elements

The Medway enterprise service bus ensures the flow of data streams from the appropriate senders to the appropriate recipients. Its unique feature, however, is that it allows these streams to be enriched with data from yet other systems. This allows multiple devices and systems to work together so that they form one cohesive environment.

🔌 Alerts & Monitoring

Medway Integration Bus provides the ability to integrate with event logging and alerting systems (e.g. Sentry, Kibana). This allows you to keep track of your system’s operation and receive alerts when technical problems occur, regardless of which system they occur in.

🔌 Multiple technologies in one product

The Medway enterprise service bus is encapsulated with many modules specialized for communication with a variety of interfaces. We support all popular communication technologies (TCP/IP, WebServices, REST API, JMS, SQL …), as well as communication standards used in medicine and pharmacy systems (HL7, FHIR, WWKS …). On the other hand, thanks to hardware modules, we can route data streams from simple electronic devices such as sensors to the bus.

🔌 Adaptation to changing needs

Medway Integration Bus can include a stub in the form of an easy-to-use module in which you can customize the data flow. This allows you, after deployment, to change the settings yourself as your infrastructure changes.

Our company specializes in integrating medical systems and devices with each other. Thanks to the technological core of our Medway ESB, encapsulated with specialized modules, we can integrate almost any system and device. The only conditions are only whether the system/device/sensor in question allows it, its manufacturer has provided for such an option and documentation is available. Our offer can be divided into different types, which are described below

🔌 Benefits

The primary benefit of our integration solutions is the ability to connect multiple systems and devices according to the specifications of the manufacturers of those devices. The „translation” of these specifications into other specifications is taken care of by our Medway data ESB using flexible semantic definitions, but taking care of the logical consistency of the solution and the data.

This significantly reduces the cost of integration, because it removes the need for development work and customization by the various manufacturers of the integrated systems and devices, and shifts this work to our company. This not only reduces costs but centralizes the management of integrations and makes it easier to take care of the consistency of the entire project.

While on both sides, the above systems can be multiplied. A flagship example is the integration of telemedicine systems where on one side we can order from HIS or RIS, and on the other side, we have many different partner systems implementing, for example, teleradiology.

Integrated medical robotics!

We are a company present in the medical informatics market since 2015. It is formed by people who have devoted their entire professional lives to the industry of systems and devices used in medicine. Many of us have more than 20 years of experience in this field.

Initially, we developed our own IT systems dedicated to medical applications. We have to our credit, among others, our own extensive HIS-class hospital system – eClinic, used to manage patient treatment, as well as our own system for ward first-aid kits or handling documentation archives. These systems successfully worked in Polish hospitals and were liked by the staff for their high degree of automation and ergonomics.

With the technological progress in medicine, more and more various systems and devices began to appear on the market, which, however, were isolated in the medical infrastructure. Our customers began facing this problem while our eClinic system was still in use, and we received numerous requests to connect more and more devices or systems to ours. One of the most significant challenges that arose was that the growing number of new systems and devices increased exponentially the number of interactions between them and forced vendors to costly adapt their products to work in a fragmented IT environment.

Armed with this experience, we began working with Medim sp. z o. o. (LLC), a company specializing in providing various types of medical devices (including very advanced medical robotics). The number of possible devices, systems, and interactions between them made our heads spin. Therefore, we decided to solve this problem systemically and created our specialized Medway enterprise service bus (ESB). Based on modern technologies, able to work in a distributed system or the cloud, supporting the most important integration and communication technologies, and equipped with easy semantic customization capabilities, it turned out to be a hit.

Thanks to the technological core of our Medway ESB, encased in specialized modules, we can integrate almost any system and device. The only conditions are only whether the system/device/sensor in question allows it, its manufacturer has provided for such an option and documentation is available.
