FinTech projects gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic when businesses were adopting contactless and digital solutions for financial transactions.

The pandemic has ended, but the trend remains. According to a study by the independent international consulting firm deVere Group, since the onset of COVID-19, the demand for FinTech mobile apps has increased by 72%.

At the same time, in The Future of Global FinTech 2024 report, the World Economic Forum claims that FinTech companies are experiencing almost a doubling of user growth.

In our opinion, the demand for FinTech solutions is linked to several factors:

— The rapid development of AI and blockchain, which open up new possibilities for innovations in the field.
— The shift to a mobile-first approach, making it easier for consumers to conduct financial transactions using their smartphones.
— The development of open banking initiatives. For example, in 2024, the European Union plans to revise open banking rules and expand access to open payments.
