Thermal paste isn’t about using one specific pattern—it’s about using the right amount. A centre dot or a carefully spread, thin layer can both work. Personally, I use Thermal Grizzly Duronaut and apply it evenly with the included spatula. I’ve never had any issues with this method.

AMD temporarily disabled a feature that encrypts data stored in your RAM.

This mainly protects against someone stealing data when they have physical access to your PC — it does not mean Ryzen PCs are suddenly open to online hackers.

🚨 NVIDIA RTX 50-SERIES USERS — CHECK YOUR GPU HOTSPOT!

The latest version of CPUID HWMonitor can now display the hotspot temperature on NVIDIA RTX 50-series graphics cards.

Your normal GPU temperature does not always tell the full story. The hotspot reading shows the hottest detected area inside the GPU and can help reveal cooling problems that the average GPU temperature may hide.

🎮 Run a demanding game or benchmark and monitor:

🌡️ GPU Temperature
🔥 GPU Hotspot Temperature
⚡ GPU Clock Speed
🌀 Fan Speed
🔋 GPU Power

Watch for:

⚠️ A hotspot temperature rising much faster than the normal GPU temperature
⚠️ GPU clock speeds dropping during a steady workload
⚠️ Fans running extremely fast while performance decreases
⚠️ Stuttering or lower performance after the GPU heats up

If the temperature reaches your card’s thermal limit and the clock speed drops, your GPU may be thermal throttling to protect itself.

A high hotspot can be caused by poor case airflow, dust, an unsuitable fan curve, uneven cooler contact, or ageing thermal paste and thermal pads.

✅ Update to HWMonitor 1.65.1
✅ Play or benchmark for 15–20 minutes
✅ Check the maximum temperatures and clock speeds

Do not wait until your GPU starts losing performance. Check your temperatures and make sure your graphics card is cooling properly.
