📣 A historic technological milestone for Social Security, with Linkare’s contribution!

The new Social Security portal marks the realization of a vision over 10 years in the making, built with cutting-edge technology, architectural innovation, and collaborative effort.

Linkare was honored to contribute to this transformation through:
✅ Architecture and technology selection
✅ Integration of Microfrontends with JSF and Vue
✅ Open Source stack including KeystoneJS, Solr Cloud, Rancher, and MySQL
✅ Participation from the Vision 2.0 (2013) phase through to the launch of the new portal

This “silent revolution,” as described by the president of the Institute of Informatics of Social Security, is a source of pride for our entire team.

On the 23rd of June we had our yearly Summer Meetup, an event where we all gathered to discuss interesting topics and, most of all, have some fun together!

One very important moment that we want to highlight also took place: we delivered our Linkareano do Ano Award for the year of 2024, and the winner was Ana Gaspar!

Ana is one of our Project Managers, and a part of our Delivery Office since the end of the last year, as a PMIO, and has been with us since 2020. Her efforts to always go the extra mile and accept all presented challenges (with a smile on her face), make this award more than deserved to her!

Thank you Ana, for your work during the past years, and, once again, congratulations!

Today we celebrate the contributions of all Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises!

The 27th June was declared by the United Nations as the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day, in a way to recognize the crucial role that these enterprises play in driving economic growth and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The theme for 2025 is “Business for MSMEs - Connecting the Entrepreneurs”, highlighting the importance of collaboration and of network building to support the success of MSME around the world. At Linkare, we are proud to be part of this dynamic ecosystem, guided by our values of people, excellence, trust, sustainability, open thinking, ambition, and ethics.

On June 23rd, we brought the entire team together for Linkare Summer Meetup, in Campo Grande, Lisbon ☀️😎

The afternoon started with two teambuilding activities, offering a mix of sports and culture. Half of our team challenged themselves in a padel game at Active Paddle 360, while the other half joined a guided visit to Museu Bordallo Pinheiro.

After that, we had a eKademy session, which included two tech talks. The first, “Introduction to Lightspeed” was delivered by Nassri Abokhalaf and Carlos Parada from Red Hat. The second, “May the Source Be With the Kube,” was led by our own José Pedro Pereira (CTO) and André Leitão (Delivery Manager). 💻

Another highlight of this session was the announcement of the 2024 Linkarean of the Year, Ana Gaspar, whom we congratulate! 🥳

The day ended with a relaxed social moment, filled with food, drinks, and great conversations 🍹

Our thanks to Lago Lisboa Restaurant for providing the perfect venue for hosting our event. Thank you also to Gonçalo Almeida for capturing the day in amazing photos.

Concurso PULSAR - Jovens Investigadores is a physics challenge that aims at stimulating critical thinking among students from secondary schools and universities. The three top answers to the challenge will be awarded.

Linkare will sponsor the 1st award, with a FNAC card!

PESSOAS 2030 is in the European spotlight, having been featured in recent news! The European Commission published an article about the launch of the PESSOAS 2030 microsite on the official website of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). Additionally, the European ESF+ website now includes a permanent link to the microsite on Portugal's national page.

This programme represents the biggest ESF+ investment in people in Portugal, supporting initiatives focused on employment opportunities (including youth employment), inclusive education and training, and social inclusion.

We would like to thank PESSOAS 2030 for trusting Linkare to build this microsite with us, and congratulate the team for the great work!

Linkare organized a Beer Tasting experience in both our Lisbon and Coimbra offices on the 15th of May. 🍺

There was time to taste different types of craft beers, carefully selected by João Loureiro, while learning about the history behind each of them and enjoying the afternoon beyond the screens.

A big thank you to Lx Factory, A.M.O., and Praxis, for contributing to this moment. Thanks also for everyone who joined us in toasting to great moments together! 🥳🍻

On the 7th May, Linkare was present at Técnico Innovation Center to take part in JEEC (Electrical and Computer Engineering Week).

Throughout the day, several students visited our stand to learn more about our work and our projects, as well as about the opportunities we have to offer.

We also participated in the 15/15 activity, where João Loureiro and Rui Neto delivered a presentation on how Linkare develops innovative digital solutions for both national and international large-scale clients. After the presentation, there was time to answering questions from the audience.

We would like to thank the students from Superior Técnico who organized this event, for inviting and welcoming us!
