"Writing code" no longer means the same thing it did two years ago.

There's a new concept dominating conversations across product, technology, and strategy and it's called Vibe Coding.

It's not just a buzzword. In February 2025, Andrej Karpathy (co-founder of OpenAI) defined it formally. In November, Collins Dictionary named it Word of the Year. And in the best product teams, it's already an operational reality.

Last week, Pedro Romano, Partner at AppX, was present at FISTA 2026 at ISCTE-IUL, in a moment of exchange between universities and companies about the future of technology.
