Architecture, AI and a lot of good questions.
We recently brought the engineering community together for Architecture Guardrails & Observability, an evening focused on a key challenge:
How do we keep software architecture healthy when AI can generate code faster than teams can review it?
Together with Victor Rentea, Java Champion and one of Romania’s most respected software architecture trainers, we explored practical ways to keep large and evolving codebases understandable, consistent and maintainable.
From architecture guardrails and automated checks to AI-assisted code review and system visualisation, the discussion covered both the opportunities and the risks of AI-assisted engineering.
And, of course, there was plenty of time for questions, conversations and networking.
As Emilia shared:
“The idea that stuck with me most was tackling a problem developers always face - code review - especially now that PRs keep getting longer and you can feel the AI behind them.”
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a great exchange of ideas.
