LAITEK Romania is a company established in 2002 as the Romanian outpost of Laitek of Chicago, Illinois, originally as Light Soft. With an activity centred in the Medical Software area, the company enjoyed constant growth in its capitalization over the years. In 2013, Lightsoft was fully acquired and it is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Laitek INC. We predict Laitek will grow constantly in the ne
xt five years, in a process of responding to the increasing demand of our services in the US and Europe market. The software is entirely developed in-house and it must adapt to increasingly diverse environments in which it will operate. Our services and products span hospitals in many time zones, from the USA's Pacific West Coast to Norway to UK and Ireland in Europe, United Arab Emirates in the Middle East and India in the East. The parent company, Laitek of Chicago, Illinois, through its founder and president mr. Fred Behlen, Phd, is a respected presence in the US and international medical informatics arena. Dr. Behlen was the co-chair of HL7/DICOM common working group which gives us an unique perspective and insight on the medical software market. He is the editor of HL7-CDA (Clinical Document Architecture) and the proponent of XDS framework (Cross Enterprise Document Sharing) in the early 2000's. The company's strategy addresses market needs in the near future – next 2 to 5 years – preparing at the same time the next generation products in the medical records management sector. The company continues to grow and expand its operations across the globe. In December 2015, addressing the increasing needs of hospitals for a comprehensive data management solution, Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT), a global leader in enterprise data protection and information management partnered with LAITEK and announced a multi-faceted, strategic partnership to jointly develop and market clinical data management solutions. By combining Laitek’s data migration expertise with Commvault’s healthcare data protection and information management capabilities, hospitals will be able to take back control of their clinical data, managing and protecting it for the long term. These development further fuels the 10 years continual growth of the company and we are constantly looking to expanding our team. We welcome you aboard to bring your best in development and support of technologies that will impact the future of medical informatics.
