👉 Architecture decisions have a long life. So does their impact.
For our Software Architect role, we’re looking for someone who can design scalable and secure architectures, guide engineering teams and influence technology decisions with business goals in mind.

The technical scope is broad:
✅ enterprise distributed systems,

Great UI/UX work is not just about knowing the tools. It’s about knowing when, why and how to use them.
In this Wisdom Nugget, Alexandru and Eduard from our UI/UX team talk about the tools they rely on, the strengths and limitations they see in them, and how different needs shape their day-to-day process.

As our .NET projects continued to grow, we noticed a recurring challenge: developers were spending significant time writing similar test scaffolding, searching for the right Copilot prompts, and making sure generated code followed our established conventions.

To address this, we created two custom GitHub Copilot agents: TestAgent and CodePromptHelper. Together, they help improve consistency, accelerate onboarding, promote team standards, and enable developers to focus more on business value and less on boilerplate implementation. Most importantly, they help transform individual knowledge into shared team capabilities.

The UI/UX toolbox is getting bigger, but having more tools doesn’t automatically mean better work.

In our latest Wisdom Nugget, Alex and Edy talk about the tools they actually use, what they like about them, where they fall short, and how they decide what fits a specific task or stage of the process.

The conversation also goes beyond tools. They share how they see UI/UX work changing as roles start to overlap more, traditional gaps become smaller, and the way designers collaborate with other disciplines continues to evolve, giving a glimpse into how the work looks today, and where it might be heading next.

Last week was made for learning, sharing and improving together during two different sessions dedicated to our testing discipline.

Our Automation Club brought AI into the testing conversation, with Diana, Ionut and Andrei sharing practical use cases. From migrating API tests from Postman to Playwright and managing Postman collections with custom skill files to generating test cases and API tests with AI agents, the session was all about experimenting with practical ways to work smarter.

Risk-Based Testing also got dedicated attention through an 8-hour School of Centric course led by Brindusa and Monica. Participants worked on identifying potential impediments and risks, assessing their impact and probability, discussing risk areas with stakeholders, and defining short- and long-term actions to minimize their impact.

Kudos to our colleagues for keeping up our habit of sharing what we know and helping each other keep improving. 💚

Last week, our Summer Practice students presented the projects they have been working on throughout the program.
Each team had the chance to demo their solution in front of a jury made up of professors, Centric colleagues and the Vice-Dean from the Technical University. And they really made the decision difficult.
The winning project was CityFix, a platform created to help manage and solve city-related issues, giving citizens a simpler way to report problems and follow their status.

We also got to see three other great projects:
✅ PetPal, a platform for lost and found pets.
✅ GardenMate, a platform that helps users manage their plants, watering patterns and care tips.
✅ PlateShare, a recipe management platform with a social sharing twist.

What stayed with us most was how curious, involved and well-prepared the students were. We genuinely loved working with them, seeing how they approached challenges and watching their ideas grow from one session to the next.
A big thank you to everyone who trained, mentored, guided, evaluated and supported them along the way 💚!

What if the ingredients we usually overlook could become something worth sharing?
At our latest Energize event, Disco Soup, we explored food waste in the most practical and enjoyable way possible: by cooking together.
Using vegetables with unusual shapes, products close to their expiry date and surplus food collected through Mai Bine’s food waste programme, we turned rescued ingredients into a shared meal.
The Mai Bine team also guided us through a series of thought-provoking activities that encouraged us to reflect on our everyday choices. They reminded us that reducing food waste is not only about what happens in the kitchen, but also about the small habits each of us can reconsider and change.
With music playing and everyone chopping, mixing, learning and sharing ideas, the event showed us that sustainable cooking doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts with seeing value where we might usually see waste.
Good food. Better habits. A little less waste.
