PrivateSky can be used for public and private blockchains and it provides tools for improving privacy and confidentiality. PrivateSky started as a an experimental project developed within Faculty of Computer Science of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. The programming platform code is licensed as Open Source code and it can be found on GitHub under the repository of PrivateSky.xyz .
However, the platform is the result of more than 7 years of research in areas of distributed systems, integration, programming languages and blockchain. PrivateSky offers new approaches for building Blockchain platforms, microservices based cloud backends, complex integration projects and composition of services using executable choreographies. A few potential applications that can be developed using PrivateSky are: cloud applications, Smart City applications, PfB, matching applications and social networks. After an intensive research activity, PrivateSky put together a list of innovations that can help improve privacy, data security and cloud programming. Among the most popular ones are: Swarm Communication, Hierarchical Blockchains and Self Sovereign Applications (SSApps)
