Things can move fast after Demo Day 🚀

Hestia is modernizing home fire safety through an automated kitchen fire suppression system designed to prevent fires before they happen.

This year’s Demo Day created new opportunities for Hestia beyond just investor pitching. During the mingle, Ali from Hestia connected with representatives from HSB Nordvästra Skåne, a conversation that later contributed to a pilot test of the units at the renowned test bed HSB Living Lab.

This is exactly why these kinds of meeting spaces are so important. Sometimes, one conversation is all it takes.

Our incubator alumni Paindrainer has secured 6 MSEK in funding!

Paindrainer, led by CEO Erik Frick, is developing evidence-based digital tools that support people living with chronic pain.

Their AI-powered platform helps users better understand and manage their pain, plan their daily activities and improve their overall quality of life through a personalized and adaptive approach. AI Startup Network at HETCH together with Tillväxtverket and Innovation Skåne!🚀

Accelerator alumn Soop, is making headlines in HD!🚀

Founded by My Johannessen, Linnéa Lundmark and Patrik Redestam, Soop is building an AI-driven Point of Sale system that aims to transform how consignment store operate (in most cases secondhand stores). Their system includes AI-powered clothing scans, automated payouts and smarter inventory management. Soop is therefore helping circular fashion businesses work more efficiently and scale sustainably.

The system is already being used by local second hand stores, including in Helsingborg, where the platform has simplified everything from product handling to customer payouts.
We love seeing startups featured and getting the recognition they deserve!

We’re excited to welcome Filippa to the HETCH team!⭐️

Filippa is currently finishing her third year in Industrial Engineering and Management at LTH, where she has combined her passion for finance, investments and business strategy with strong student engagement through organizations such as LINC and the Industrial Engineering student union.

Alongside her studies, she has worked as Manager for Strategy & Insights at Lunicore Student Consulting, leading client relationships, sales and project management for a team of 15 student consultants, gaining hands-on experience in strategy and business development.

At HETCH, Filippa will support the investment team, working with everything from analyzing companies and evaluating new startup cases, collecting data, support the due diligence process and portfolio management.

The soon-to-be graduating master’s students from held their Demo Day at HETCH yesterday, pitching 9 impressive startup cases to the HETCH team 🚀

The students received open, supportive and transparent feedback on each pitch, helping them prepare for the next steps on their journey ahead.

Pitching startups: Everground, Insect Eye, One Putt Minigolf, Rollator Experts, Smart Dumb Phone, The Closet, TrueLoop, usCar & Vivenza.

This is an important milestone in the strong collaboration between Lund University School of Economics and HETCH, and we’re very happy to continue working closely together!

HETCH Week Day 3 ⚡

And that’s a wrap.

We closed out HETCH Week with a Morning Coffee DJ Set on the rooftop, together with Cercino and in collaboration with Celsius and Bullangeriet.

Great music from DJ Jaxon, great people, pastries and coffee in the sun!

BIG thanks to everyone who joined, startups and students, Bullangeriet for the pastries and Celsius for keeping the energy up!
