TECVINSON ACADEMY STUDENTS & ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Today, we celebrate Oluwaiye Unity Ekugbe, a Research Scholar at Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE, Manipal, India.
Unity is a computational scientist and PhD researcher passionate about molecular modelling, computational materials science, high-performance computing, and sustainable energy research.
His technical journey spans Python, AI/ML, Agentic AI, MCP, FastAPI, Django, HPC, computational modelling, DFT, molecular dynamics, Linux, Git, and data analysis, with experience using tools such as VASP, LAMMPS, and RASPA.
He is also developing a strong interest in AI alignment, AI safety, and the governance of autonomous AI systems.
• A Message to Current Tecvinson Academy Students
Unity reminds students that technology is a continuous learning journey.
His advice is simple but powerful:
Do your assignments. Study beyond the classroom. Build projects. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Stay curious.
He encourages students not to be intimidated when things become difficult. Sometimes, struggling with a problem is exactly how we grow.
He also reminds us that technology evolves rapidly, especially in AI. Therefore, students should go beyond their course materials, follow industry developments, read documentation, explore new tools, and continually develop their skills.
Most importantly:
“You don't need to know everything before you start building. Start with what you know, keep improving, and let every project make you better than you were yesterday.”
We are proud to celebrate Unity’s journey and the impact of continuous learning.
Keep learning. Keep building. Keep believing in yourself.
This is what the Tecvinson Academy Students & Alumni Spotlight Series is all about — celebrating growth, excellence, and the incredible journeys of our students and alumni.
