🚀 Excited to welcome Sam Isaacson to Leading Complexity 2025!
Sam was one of the first to explore how AI transforms coaching and leadership development — and he’s an incredibly engaging speaker.
He really understands coaching and technology. His session, “Using AI to supercharge learning and development” is one I know will be a highlight.

👉 Check out Sam’s and the other world-class thought leaders’ sessions with the link in the comments.

We’re excited to welcome back Susan Basterfield to Leading Complexity 2025! 🙌

Susan is an author, speaker, and long-time friend of Crisp who’s helped us explore new ways of organizing and leading. Her workshops and talks in Stockholm over the years have inspired real change in how we collaborate and grow.

In her session — “Curiosity, Complexity, and AI: Rethinking Leadership in Organisations” — she invites us to:
🔹 Navigate complexity instead of trying to control it
🔹 Shift from authority to inquiry
🔹 Use AI as a partner in sense-making, not as an answer machine

This is for leaders ready to ask better questions, empower others, and lead with curiosity in an AI-infused world.

At Crisp AB, we have been collaborating with Nils Janse for several years. His courses are very popular. He is also one of the absolute leading experts on Generative AI in Sweden. You might also recognize him from SVT's Generation AI. He is also the author of the book "AI Agents: Multiplying Human Potential by Adopting Gen AI",

We're looking forward to learning from his experience at this year's Leading Complexity! Understanding AI is no longer optional — and he's one of the best at showing how to make it work in practice.
Check out Nils' session and the other speakers.

🎲 How to Lead in Complexity, Whatever the Weather — with Portia Tung
What if the key to real change isn’t more control, but more play? Suffering is optional!
We’re thrilled to welcome Portia Tung to Leading Complexity 2025 with her interactive session “The Playful Leader.”

Portia is an Agile pioneer, executive coach, keynote speaker, and author of The Dream Team Nightmare. Her work blends play science, coaching, and psychology into powerful tools for leading change with less resistance and more joy.

She’s known in the Agile community for her engaging, practical, and energizing approach — and we can’t wait for more people to experience her magic at Leading Complexity.

💡 You’ll leave her session with tried and tested tools from neuroscience and play theory to become a more humane, impactful, and playful leader.

🌟 What a Success! Our First Liberating Structures Immersion Workshop in Stockholm

We are still buzzing from the incredible energy at our very first Liberating Structures Immersion Workshop in Stockholm last week! Seeing so many engaged and enthusiastic participants diving into these powerful methods was a joy.

We received fantastic feedback, both on the content and the experience. One key element that really resonated was our experience-first approach:
-> First, we immersed ourselves in the structures.
-> Then, we unpacked the principles and theory behind why they work so well.

Our facilitators were another highlight.
🌱 Ruben Klerkx brought his deep expertise and years of hands-on experience with Liberating Structures, and Adelstål was exceptional in guiding the group with clarity and warmth. And I, Michael Göthe, think I did a pretty good job too. 😊

Another major factor? The venue. We hosted the workshop in the beautiful, light-filled Färgfabriken by the water in Stockholm. The atmosphere was perfect—inspiring, open, and with amazing food from the café and restaurant.

And the best part? We had such an overwhelmingly positive response that we’re already planning another Liberating Structures Immersion Workshop in December. Check the link in the comments. — you won’t want to miss it!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this experience unforgettable. Let’s keep transforming meetings and find more effective ways of collaborating! 💥

The future is here! Tesla and SpaceX don´t talk about Agile. According to Joe Justice, it is because they have an Agile DNA. And according to Elon Musk, the pace of innovation is the only thing that matters in the long run.

An example of rapid innovation is Tesla´s Model Y, the best-selling car worldwide in 2023. It introduced innovations such as a structural battery replacing the floor and “Gigacastings,” which reduced hundreds of parts. Toyota called the Model Y “an engineering work of art.”

However, Tesla is re-inventing manufacturing again to make another step in cost reduction for its next-gen affordable car. Instead of a traditional production line, it will use a new “unboxed process,” maximizing components and parallelism, like putting together LEGO pieces. This will reduce costs by 50%.

If you are curious about learning more about how Tesla and SpaceX innovate, we have a few more seats for the truly tough proving course Agile SW&HW at Tesla and SpaceX at Crisp on April 26th.

Check the link in the comments to learn more.

Do you believe that the way of working at Tesla and SpaceX will be the future? What principles or practices are you curious about?

Previous participants were thrilled:
“High energy, revolutionary content, great trainers, inspiring, dynamic, I am pumped, highly motivated.”

“I moved my mental frontiers. It’s like science fiction, but it is actually real, amazing, I am blown away” -Johannes Lindman.

“Joe's insights into how extremely agile Tesla and SpaceX are.
From self-organizing teams to multiple changes per day in production.
Be prepared to reconsider everything you know about teamwork and design change processes.

For some people, it is so far ahead of where they are that it is not useful.“
- Fredrik Carlsson, Head of Vehicle Systems at The Rainforest

“We think this can be the third revolution in the automotive industry. Until today, we were great fans of Toyota Production System, but we learned we are too slow. This stuff from Tesla and SpaxeX is the future.” - Helge Hanslik

“DELETE, DELETE, DELETE”

In Water Isaacson´s recent biography of Elon Musk, I counted the word “delete” to 53 times.

“Step one should be to question the requirements and make them less wrong and dumb, because all requirements are somewhat wrong and dumb. And then delete, delete, delete.”

If you haven't read it, I recommend it. It provides a fascinating insight into Musk's mindset of first-principle thinking and challenging every rule and how it has influenced the culture at Tesla and SpaceX.

Continuously simplifying and removing complexity and daily improvements is at the core of the culture.

Musk is laser-focused on keeping costs down. Making affordable electric cars is essential to accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation.

That is how Tesla could lower the cost of 2023´s most-sold car by $3,000 last year during high inflation and increased material costs.

Meanwhile, SpaceX has lowered the cost of sending mass to orbit by an astonishing 20X, since they perfected reusable rockets.

If you have read the book, what is your insights?

If you want to learn more about how Tesla and SpaceX are so innovative and cost-effective, then join us in Stockholm at Crisp for our Agile SW&HW at Tesla and SpaceX, April 26, 2024 with Joe Justice.
