We sometimes think that the more community members, the merrier. But that's not always true.
It's important to focus on quality rather than quantity.
Imagine a classroom where everyone is talking at once. It gets rowdy, and no one hears what anyone else is saying.
Talking to a few active and happy members is often better than having lots of uninterested ones in your community. For one, a more engaged group of members are likelier to create meaningful discussions by sharing ideas with one another.
This deepens the connection between members and elevates the experience for everyone.
So instead of aimlessly trying to get more people to join, think about how you can keep the ones you have engaged.
