What is the right attraction mix around karting?
That was one of the key discussions during the LKA Summit conference panel led by Massimo Makovac from 360 Karting together with:
• Evandro Di Matteo from Foodkart
• Cody Browning from Supercharged Entertainment
• Stéphane Fontaine from SpeedPark
• Matteo Zanettin from Theway
The conversation focused on one major challenge in modern entertainment development.
How do you masterplan karting differently depending on the business model?
Because a karting venue designed for RIDE should not be planned the same way as a RENTAL or RACE model.
Each model requires a completely different balance between:
• attraction mix
• food & beverage positioning
• customer flow
• visibility
• dwell time
• audience targeting
• operational logic
• revenue strategy
For example:
A RIDE model thrives on accessibility, throughput, and strong integration with supporting attractions.
A RENTAL model needs balance between karting performance and broader FEC experiences.
A RACE model focuses much more on community, longer sessions, memberships, and competitive atmosphere.
That changes everything — from the layout itself to the surrounding business ecosystem.
The future of karting is no longer just about building tracks ...
It’s about designing complete entertainment environments around the right customer experience and business strategy.
That’s where masterplanning becomes critical!
