THIS IS HOW IT ALL STARTED …
The year 1993 marked the beginning of a venture when 3 friends joined together and established the company Redox Ltd. The initial business was based on the broadcast and studio radio services covering the whole Slovenian territory. We have started to produce the automation radio systems as soon as the 16-bit stereo audio card was launched. Relying on our knowledge we d
eveloped the Radio Manager application for one of our first clients allowing him to broadcast adds and jingles on an inventive organized level. But as the new and more sophisticated technologies advanced we improved our radio and CD exchange automation systems broadcasting music, adds and jingles. For the night radio automation we developed an application for exchange CD storage for 18, 60 or 300 CDs. A new incentive came with the development of a bilingual music network archive, when we perfected the Fonoteka application – a music archive for all media radio stations as well as a program for inserting, searching and creating music lists. The expanding IT sector and the continuous demands from various companies and radio station for new hardware and software resulted in an opening of a new wholesale computer store, which opened its doors in 1995. In 1996 we presented a new version of REDOX D.A.S.: a radio station digital automation and an application for broadcasting a complete radio program: music, news, jingles and adds. This system allowed to compress clips in a MPEG format and to broadcast the whole radio program live or automatically from the hard disk. In 1998 we started to sell weather products from Davis (Los Angeles, USA) – weather stations for a computer controlled weather and additional equipment. REDOX REDKOM 4, a radio-advertising-media system, was introduced in 1999. With its management of commercialists and invoicing we could better integrate our work on the station. In the years 2000 – 2005 we have achieved a 35-45% market share in Slovenia for the selling of the digital radio program management systems. During these years we started to collaborate with the company Studiocenter Advertising Ltd. in Capodistria and began developing the new project 2PET.
2PET is an internal radio designed for a complete remote-controlled creation of a sound program. It is composed by music and commercials (adds), where we are in charge of maintaing the distribution network. One of our other projects, together with the company Avision Ltd., was the startup of the wireless internet access services in the coastal region – Alter-Net. In 2004 we became the authorized representative for the well-known international company Grisoft (CH, EU) and have begun to introduce in our services the AVG antivirus software. is today one of the most representative IT companies on the Slovenian market relying on a 16-years experience and its own products. REDOX D.A.S., a digital automation for radio stations, which has been continuously upgraded with improved moduls and new applications is fundamental for an ever more increasing group of radio stations. We are proud to have become the biggest developer of automation radio station systems (40 % market share in Slovenia) and to cover 33 Slovene radio stations. Moreover, we expanded our services by opening a computer store offering all the important brands of hardware and software, computer components, PCX and HP computers (assembly and marketing) and others. Our range of services also comprises consultancy, performance and maintenance of local networks, which is distinguished by a fast, secure and quality computer service. is also home to server hosting and applied solutions and development, web hosting and collocation of websites, domain registration, the creation of fast rapid software solutions for small entities, the development of Linux servers, wireless internet access and a lot more.
